Zara Tyndall's husband, Mike Tyndall, made a bold decision by turning down a surprising request from Princess Anne before their wedding.

The former rugby star refused to comply with the Princess Royal's plea to undergo a significant change in his appearance, showcasing his independent spirit within the royal family.

Instead, they chose to spend their time at Thorsby Hall in Nottinghamshire, where Zara took part in a three-day horse competition, deviating from the family's usual Easter activities.

Among the missing members were Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, as well as the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Zara, who was not granted a formal title by her mother, Princess Anne, allowing her to lead a more private life, holds a unique position within the royal family alongside Mike.

Despite some details of their personal lives being public, including Mike's past struggles with injuries, he humorously declined Princess Anne's offer to pay for corrective surgery on his previously injured nose.

Mike's dedication to his sport was evident even before his marriage to Zara in 2011, as he prioritized his rugby commitments over cosmetic concerns.

Politely refusing Anne's proposal to fix his nose, he jokingly remarked that it might not be worth the trouble, considering his history of injuries and the potential impact on his athletic performance.

In a surprising turn of events, Mike eventually opted for nose surgery in 2018, just before the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

His relationship with Zara blossomed over the years, starting when they met in a Sydney bar at Manly Wharf during the 2003 Rugby World Cup, where Mike was playing for England.
