Zara Tindall’s Bold Piercing: Princess Anne’s Unexpected Reaction

Zara Tindall, known for her laid-back approach to royal life alongside husband Mike Tindall, has been a standout member of the British monarchy.

However, a closer look at her past reveals a surprising twist in her style choices, particularly when it comes to a piercing that caught the attention of royal watchers.

Interestingly, her mother, , had an unexpectedly calm response to this bold move.

Back in 1998, a 17-year-old Zara decided to get her tongue pierced while studying at Gordonstone, a prestigious boarding school in Scotland with ties to the royal family.

The silver stud in her tongue made its debut at her uncle ' 50th birthday celebration, causing quite a stir.

Yet, just a year later, the piercing mysteriously vanished, leaving many curious about the reason behind its sudden disappearance.

, known for her pragmatic approach, chose not to make a fuss over Zara's rebellious phase.

Instead, she opted to let her daughter explore her individuality without interference.

Reflecting on this period, Zara humorously remarked in a 2011 interview with Tatler magazine, “At least it didn't come out of my nose, or anything like that.”

It was evident that Princess Anne's main concern was whether Zara could speak clearly with the piercing in place.

The bond between Princess Anne and her daughter is strong, with Zara and Mike residing with their children at Anne's Gachampark estate in Gloucestershire.

The family enjoys the vast amenities of Aston Farm, a sprawling 700-acre property featuring luxurious living spaces, entertainment areas such as a home cinema and games room, and ample room for their active lifestyle.

Notably, Zara's brother, Peter Phillips, also calls the estate home with his daughters Savannah and Isla, whose mother, Autumn Kelly, lives nearby following her split from Peter.

Recent speculations hinted at the Tindalls considering a move to Australia, where they first met in 2003 and frequently visit.

However, a royal insider revealed a change in plans due to ' desire to maintain family unity, particularly with his beloved niece.

According to sources close to the royals, Mike and Zara contemplated relocating to Australia but ultimately decided against it, citing the importance of stability for their growing family.

While a permanent move is off the table for now, the Tindalls are looking forward to spending extended periods in Australia for vacations and quality time with their children during both the winter and summer seasons.
