What’s Wrong with Lily?

Lady Jane and Sarah Leave Baptism After Five Minutes as Awful Secret Caught Their Eye

Lady Jane and Sarah, the sisters of the late , made a swift exit from Princess Lilibet's christening, reportedly leaving less than five minutes after their arrival.

The reason behind their sudden departure is said to be related to Lily's appearance, which differs from how has described her daughter.

In the online photos shared by the Sussexes, Lily is shown to have ginger hair like her father, , and is praised by him for inheriting Diana's genes, just like her brother .

However, Lady Jane and Sarah were taken aback by the fact that Lily's hair is a darker shade of brown, almost matching Meghan's hair color.

They inquired about this discrepancy, but Meghan simply attributed it to a change in Lily's hair over time.

Nevertheless, Lady Jane and Sarah found this explanation hard to believe, as they thought such a rapid change in hair color was unlikely.

Their concerns about Lily's appearance, along with other undisclosed issues surrounding her, may have prompted their early departure.

Interestingly, there are no official pictures of Lily from the christening day.

According to reports, Lady Jane, 's older sister, and Lady Sarah McConaughey were among the 20-30 guests who attended Princess Lilibet's christening ceremony and subsequent party.

The private event took place at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's Montecito Mansion.

Earlier this week, and Meghan Markle confirmed that the christening had occurred the previous Friday.

While details about the ceremony remain scarce, one notable aspect that caught the attention of royal enthusiasts was the absence of senior members of the royal family.

However, it has now been revealed that the Duke's maternal relatives were present at the event.

A magazine recently disclosed some details about the party, including the fact that four-year-old danced with his little sister while songs from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's wedding played in the background.

Royal journalist and friend of the Sussexes, Omid Scobie, added on Twitter that , Queen Camilla, , and Princess Kate had been invited but did not attend.

Another publication reported that Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, along with Harry's aunts, were included in the guest list as family members.

The last time Prince Harry was seen publicly with his aunts was in 2021 when he and unveiled a statue of their late mother at Kensington Palace.

It is unclear when exactly the Duke of Sussex last saw his aunts, but they have been present at significant milestones in his life, as well as his brother's, since the tragic death of Princess Diana in 1997.

The christening of Princess Lilibet Diana, which took place on September 8, 2022, was an event fit for a princess.

However, it was only made public this past Wednesday when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced the news along with their daughter's official title.

Alongside Harry's aunts, other attendees included Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, and Lilibet's godfather, Tyler Perry.

The celebration featured an afternoon of food and dancing, with the young prince and princess even sharing a dance together.

Typically, a royal christening is an intimate affair held in the historic chapels of Buckingham Palace or Windsor.

Archie's christening, for instance, took place when he was eight weeks old, with approximately 25 guests attending the private ceremony at Windsor Castle on July 6, 2019.

According to an insider, the attendees at Lily's christening were treated to an afternoon filled with delectable cuisine and joyful dancing, during which Archie had the opportunity to dance with his little sister.
