Unemployed Immigrant Takes Swipe at Harry and Meghan on SNL

and have unwittingly become fodder for television programs, with their missteps providing material for live shows rather than garnering them acclaim.

Meghan was the subject of ridicule on Saturday Night Live, with a skit targeting the spin-off of the show “Suits.”

This spin-off recently received a pilot order from NBC and is set to take place in Los Angeles, focusing on 's character struggling to balance a legal career while also tending to an unemployed immigrant.

During the skit, SNL cast member Colin Jost humorously referenced , highlighting a shift in public perception where jokes about the couple are now deemed easy targets, illustrating their diminishing relevance in the United States.

Despite their attempts to maintain an air of sophistication, Harry and Meghan's purported humanitarian efforts and charitable endeavors have failed to make a lasting impact.

The irony lies in the fact that Harry, once a respected figure, has now become the subject of jokes as an “unemployed immigrant,” symbolizing the lack of substantial contribution Americans perceive from him.

Their credibility has taken a significant hit, leaving them in a state of disrepute commonly referred to as being “Markled.”

Rebuilding their reputation would necessitate years of dedicated effort and exceptional public relations work, a feat that currently appears unattainable.

Harry's departure from royal duties aimed to establish a more serious persona; however, it has ironically resulted in heightened mockery directed towards him.

The saying “what goes around comes around” seems fitting in this scenario.

Initially, there were speculations that Harry and Meghan would host Saturday Night Live, but such plans faded away much like their other ventures.

This failure may have been misconstrued as a sign of their integration into the entertainment industry, particularly with connections to SNL.

In reality, Meghan seems to lack genuine relationships within that circle, as evidenced by the absence of roles in movies produced by prominent figures like Tyler Perry and , who have not extended invitations to her for Hollywood events.

The recent jibe at the couple came amidst criticisms surrounding their Hollywood deals within the industry.

Rumors suggesting Meghan's involvement in a “Suits” reboot were vehemently denied by her former co-stars.

The pilot for the new series, set in the same universe as the original legal drama, has been greenlit by the network.

Spearheaded by “Suits” creator Aaron Korsh, the show will feature a fresh cast, with uncertainties lingering over potential appearances by actors from the original series.

The show's premise revolves around Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, reinventing himself to represent powerful clients in Los Angeles amidst a firm in turmoil, forcing him to embrace a role he previously despised.

Under the direction of Victoria Mahoney, production for the show is slated to commence in late March in Vancouver, Canada, with a potential release during the 2024-2025 season if the pilot progresses to a full series.

Apart from crafting the pilot episode, Korsh will serve as an executive producer alongside former “Suits” EPs David Bartis, Doug Lehman, and Gene Klein, underscoring the anticipation surrounding the show's launch and its reception within the entertainment landscape.
