Following the sad news of II's passing at the age of 96, significant changes have taken place within the royal family.

These changes extend beyond personal and emotional aspects to include titles and roles.

One of the queen's grandchildren, Princess Beatrice, has experienced a notable shift in her responsibilities following the death of her grandmother.

As the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, Princess Beatrice has become a councillor of state.

Assuming this role means that Princess Beatrice is now among a select group of four individuals who can act on behalf of and substitute for III when required.

Her new duties include participating in privy council meetings, signing documents, and receiving the credentials of new ambassadors.

Prior to II's passing, the four councillors of state were her two sons, Prince Charles and Prince Andrew, as well as Charles' two sons, and .

However, with Charles ascending to the throne, a new councillor needed to be appointed.

Recently, Princess Beatrice's husband, Italian Count Edo Marpelli Mozzi, shared a previously unseen image of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who were married for seventy-three years.

Count Mozzi also provided insight into how he and Princess Beatrice were coping with the loss of the queen.

Photographs captured Princess Beatrice and her sister, , alongside their father Prince Andrew, , Prince Edward, his wife Sophie Wessex, their daughter Lady Louise Windsor, and Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips outside Balmoral Castle on Saturday.

The touching images depicted the sisters comforting each other as they observed the flowers left by the public.

The royal family, dressed in all black, returned to Balmoral after attending a brief prayer service, receiving applause from onlookers as they waved to the crowd.

Princess Eugenie currently resides in Portugal with her husband Jack Brooksbank, while Beatrice was unable to travel to Balmoral.
