Title: Meghan Markle’s Ghosting Trend: A Quest for an Ideal Image?
In the five years since their union, being ghosted by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has become somewhat of an honor.
Numerous individuals have been cast aside by the couple, with the Markle and Ragland families being among the first casualties.
Meghan seems to have a penchant for pretending her own family doesn't exist, even though Harry once stated in their engagement interview that his family would be the one she never had.
So, what exactly did these families do to Meghan to warrant such treatment?
It appears that Meghan wanted to distance herself from her working-class origins and embrace the high life, erasing anyone who didn't fit into the narrative she wished to portray.
Three years ago, Meghan's ex-diplomat uncle openly labeled her a prima donna, suggesting that she carried a chip on her shoulder, which could have contributed to her alleged issues with Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge.
Mike Markle, Meghan's uncle, launched a scathing attack on his niece, claiming that her behavior and strong character might have been the reason why staff members had previously found her difficult.
He played a significant role in helping Meghan secure a prestigious internship as a junior press officer at the American Embassy in Argentina when she was only 20 and considering a career in international relations.
“Meghan has climbed socially and left us behind,” says Mike, her father Thomas's elder brother.
“That's how I feel.
I think that's what happens when you're from the underclass and trying to rise above your circumstances.”
At the time, Mike shed light on the alleged rivalry between Meghan and Princess Diana.
He suggested that Meghan's background might have contributed to her having a chip on her shoulder, potentially causing friction with her sister-in-law.
Mike also pointed out certain immature aspects of Meghan's behavior, not just towards family members but also towards others.
He attributed this to the way she was raised, claiming that her father's doting nature may have made her bossy towards staff.
“She's a prima donna because he treated her exceptionally well,” Mike added.
However, his relationship with Meghan has deteriorated over time, as he was not invited to her wedding with Prince Harry.
“She didn't invite a lot of people, so I don't feel that bad,” he remarked.
Thomas Markle, Meghan's father, has also been left feeling abandoned by his ungrateful daughter.
He provided her with a life of luxury, including dining at the finest restaurants and a private education.
The deepest blow came when Meghan referred to her father in the past tense during her conversation with Oprah Winfrey.
In her mind, it seems that her father is already deceased.
Furthermore, the existence of text messages sent by Harry to Thomas while he was in the hospital became public knowledge during Meghan's court case against the Mail on Sunday.
It remains unclear why Meghan has chosen to distance herself from her family and those who have supported her throughout her life.
The rift between Meghan and her relatives appears to be deepening, with communication becoming increasingly strained.
While some speculate that Meghan's desire to create an ideal image for herself and her new life as a member of the royal family may be the driving force behind her actions, only Meghan herself can shed light on the true reasons behind her choices.
As the Markle and Ragland families continue to be left in the shadows, it is up to Meghan to decide whether or not she will take the initiative to mend these broken bonds.
