Title: Meghan Markle Chooses Full Official Name for Daughter’s Birth Certificate

Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, opted to use her complete official name, Rachel , in her daughter's birth certificate, marking a significant departure from the inclusion of her royal title in her son 's birth certificate.

The birth certificate, sourced from Santa Barbara County in California by TMZ, corroborated the details surrounding Lily's birth previously disclosed by Meghan and two days post the baby's arrival.

Lily entered the world on June 4 at 11:40 am LA time under the care of medical professionals at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California.

In the birth certificate of Lily, is identified as His Royal Highness in the surname section, emphasizing their decision to maintain their full royal titles even after stepping down as senior royals in March 2020.

Despite retaining their royal designations, the couple agreed to cease using their HRH styles following their transition to non-full-time members of the royal family.

A statement issued in early 2020 by a Sussex spokesperson, endorsed by Buckingham Palace, clarified that while they remain part of the Royal Family with their titles intact, they would no longer actively employ their HRHs.

Post their royal departure, Meghan and Harry forfeited their royal and military affiliations.

The utilization of Prince Harry's HRH style led to confusion during an exhibition at Kensington Palace featuring 's wedding dress, lent by her sons William and Harry.

Initially, an administrative error by the Royal Collection Trust incorrectly labeled Prince Harry as HRH the Duke of Sussex, which was rectified to HRH the Duke of Cambridge and the Duke of Sussex.

In contrast, the birth certificate of , born on May 6, 2019, while Meghan and Harry were still working royals, included both Meghan's full names and her royal title, and Prince Harry's full royal designation.

Notably, adjustments were made to the document on June 5, 2019, where Prince Harry's title as Prince was added, and Meghan's name was revised to solely reflect Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex.

Recently, three weeks post Lily's birth, Prince Harry traveled from California to attend the unveiling of 's statue at Kensington Palace on July 1.

Due to his travel from an amber-list country, he will undergo a five-day self-isolation period before the ceremony.

The event holds significance as it honors the enduring legacy of Princess Diana and serves as a poignant moment for her sons, and Prince Harry, to commemorate their mother's memory together.
