Suits Creator Aaron Korsh Reacts to Meghan Markle’s Claim of Dream Role Offer
In a surprising turn of events, Suits creator Aaron Korsh found himself in the spotlight after Meghan Markle allegedly misled the press by claiming she had been offered a dream role by the show.
Recent reports have confirmed that Meghan Markle will not be returning for the upcoming Suits revival.
Korsh, the mastermind behind the hit series, has made it clear that Markle's character will not be featured in the new spinoff based in Los Angeles.
Instead, Korsh is focused on developing a pilot and series treatment for “Suits LA,” a spinoff that will introduce viewers to a fresh cast of characters in a West Coast law firm setting.
Despite speculations about Markle's potential comeback to acting, sources close to the show have revealed that she is currently not being considered for any roles in the new project.
During the 11th Makeup Artists and Hairstylists Guild Award event in Beverly Hills, Rachel Harris, a close friend of Korsh and former Suits actress, shed light on the situation.
Harris, known for her role as Sheila Sazs in the original series, disclosed that while there may be a slight possibility for Markle to make an appearance, there are no concrete offers for a full-time role on the table.
According to Harris, Korsh has not discussed the possibility of involving Markle in the spinoff with her.
The showrunner's vision for the new iteration of Suits is to establish its success independently without relying on the star power of the original cast members, who contributed to the show's immense popularity and record-breaking streaming numbers on Netflix.
Meanwhile, Meghan's former co-star Patrick J Adams, who portrayed Michael Ross in Suits, shared his hesitations about reconnecting with her.
Despite their on-screen chemistry as Ross and Rachel Zane, Adams admitted to having zero communication with Meghan.
This revelation comes as a surprise, considering that Adams, along with other Suits co-stars like Gina Torres and Sarah Rafferty, were invited to Meghan's wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.
In a candid interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Adams confessed that he feels intimidated and apprehensive about reaching out to Meghan.
He reflected on their past exchanges, mentioning that there were some texts and gifts exchanged before the birth of their children.
However, the actor expressed his reluctance to initiate further conversations, citing feelings of fear and uncertainty about breaking down any existing barriers between them.
