Rupert Everett Challenges Prince Harry’s Virginity Claims
Actor Rupert Everett has raised doubts about Prince Harry's claims of losing his virginity in a field behind a pub.
In an interview with the Telegraph magazine, Everett expressed his skepticism on the day of the Duke's highly anticipated memoir, “Spares,” publication date.
The Duke of Sussex had previously stated that he lost his virginity to an older woman in an open-air tryst when he was a student at Eton in 2001.
However, Everett has a different story to tell.
Speaking to the Telegraph, Everett revealed, “By the way, I know who the woman he lost his virginity to is, and it wasn't behind a pub, and it wasn't in this country.”
When asked if he believed the Duke was intentionally trying to protect the woman's identity by misleading the public, the English actor simply responded with a slight grin, leaving much to the imagination.
Everett also shared that reading Harry's memoir had changed his perception of the Duke.
He admitted, “It's made me change my view.
I was angry before, and now I just feel very sad.
Sad for Harry.
I felt so sympathetic towards him for years, and I still do now.”
The actor expressed particular empathy for Harry regarding the controversial Taliban incident, stating that it had cost him the support of a group that had previously stood by him.
Following the Duke's claims, several women were speculated to be the older woman in question.
Liz Hurley, the first woman identified, denied any involvement in an interview, stating, “Not me.
I'm not guilty.
Absolutely not.”
Susanna Harvey, a former model, and Catherine O'Mahony, an interior designer, also distanced themselves from the alleged encounter.
Harvey, who had previously admitted to passionately kissing Harry in a muddy field, posted a picture on Instagram with a packet of ginger nuts, asserting, “The only ones I've ever touched.
Believe zero of what you read.”
O'Mahony, who dated Harry when she was 34 and he was 21, denied being the woman in the field, emphasizing her dislike for horses.
In addition to the virginity claims, a former fellow soldier shed light on another incident involving Harry.
According to The Sun, while on a night out, the Duke stumbled and fell into a panic alarm in a sentry booth at St James's Palace in London.
Three guards rushed to his aid, and he was eventually carried back to his apartment by two nearby police officers.
The soldier, who had served in the armed forces for over a decade and sustained an injury, described Harry as “a mess” and stated that he was uncooperative and abusive when they tried to help him up.
This revelation comes as the soldier expressed his discontent with Harry's memoir, claiming that the Duke had a reputation for being disruptive in officer circles.
The soldier's injuries from his time in Afghanistan further fueled his frustration with Harry's portrayal of himself in the book.
As the controversy surrounding Prince Harry's memoir continues, Rupert Everett's remarks add a new layer of intrigue and doubt to the Duke's claims.
With conflicting accounts and unanswered questions, the public is left to ponder the truth behind these sensational stories.
