Royals Beat the Heatwave with Private Swimming Pools
A recent heatwave in the UK has prompted the royal family to find ways to cool down.
And it turns out, they have their very own private swimming pools in their homes, some of which are unknown to the public.
One such pool belonged to the late Queen, located at Buckingham Palace.
This indoor pool has been a favorite spot for the entire royal family for years.
While senior royals like Prince William and Catherine frequently use it, members of the Staff Sports Club can also enjoy a swim there, as long as it doesn't clash with the royals' schedule.
Prince Charles and Princess Diana also have their own swimming pool at their country retreat, Anmer Hall, situated on the Sandringham Estate.
This facility provides the perfect setting for the family to enjoy a swim with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, during weekends and holidays.
When in London, they reportedly visit the swimming pool at Buckingham Palace, where the children had their swimming lessons when they were younger.
Speaking of aquatic activities, Prince William and Princess Catherine recently shared a never-before-seen video from their trip to the Bahamas last year.
The couple, known for their active participation in sports during royal appearances, were seen donning wetsuits for a unique underwater experience.
The video shows them snorkeling and scuba diving around the beautiful reefs, even planting new coral.
Although the exact date of the footage is unknown, it is believed to have been taken during their eight-day Caribbean tour in March 2022.
The couple released the video to showcase their collaboration with Coral Vida, the winner of the 2021 Earthshot Prize, in their efforts to farm and plant coral in the Bahamas.
Prince William opted for a rash vest and blue swim trunks, while Princess Catherine chose a black wetsuit with cropped shorts and sleeves.
She wore matching flippers and tied her dark hair into a low ponytail to prevent it from interfering with her snorkeling gear.
Fans couldn't help but notice that she continued to wear her iconic diamond and sapphire engagement ring, which previously belonged to Princess Diana.
Many expressed surprise that she didn't leave the precious jewel at home for safety reasons.
While the YouTube and X comment sections were filled with praise for their inspiring work, some viewers couldn't help but remark on Princess Catherine's decision to wear her engagement ring while snorkeling.
One user even zoomed in on her left hand and wrote, “Mad respect to Princess Catherine for diving with the rings on.
I don't think I could do that for fear of them slipping off my finger.”
Others speculated that she might be wearing a replica or have copies for traveling and engagements.
In addition to the underwater adventures, Prince William and Princess Catherine were seen swimming and exploring the sea together.
The future king was captured planting a coral, with Catherine planting one of her own.
In another clip, William addressed the camera while in the water.
Despite the heatwave, the royal family has found a way to beat the scorching temperatures with their private swimming pools.
Whether it's enjoying a swim at Buckingham Palace or embarking on underwater adventures, they continue to make the most of their summer days.
