Royal Reunion Hopes Crushed as Prince Harry and Meghan Decline Queen’s Invite
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have once again made headlines as they reportedly turned down invitations from Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles, extinguishing any hopes of a royal family reunion.
Instead, the couple has embarked on a journey to Germany for the Invictus Games Düsseldorf one-year-to-go event.
This decision follows Meghan's captivating keynote address at the One Young World Summit in Manchester, where she dazzled in a striking red jumpsuit and expressed her joy at being back in the UK.
After their time in Germany, Prince Harry and Meghan are set to return to the UK on Thursday, the 8th of September, for the Wellchild event.
Despite this upcoming visit, there are no arrangements for the couple to reconnect with members of the royal family.
Renowned royal expert and author, Katie Nicholl, disclosed that the couple had already declined a special invitation from the Queen.
Speaking on GB News, Nicholl revealed exclusive information about the invitation extended to Harry and Meghan at the end of August.
The Queen had extended an invitation for a grand gathering at Balmoral, where her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were to come together for a memorable stay.
Unfortunately, this rejection would have undoubtedly disappointed the Queen, especially since she has only met Lilibet, the couple's daughter, once.
Concerns were heightened as many feared that this trip might be Harry's final opportunity to see his grandmother amid her ongoing health challenges.
Nicholl further disclosed that the couple had also turned down an invitation to Burke Hall with the Prince of Wales.
In a separate development, royal experts have speculated that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are contemplating a return to the UK for both charitable and commercial purposes.
Following their relocation to California and stepping back from their royal duties, the couple visited the UK for significant events such as the Queen's Platinum Jubilee ceremony and the One Young World Summit in Manchester.
According to royal expert Kinsey Schofield, Meghan is particularly eager to return to Britain to champion causes dear to her heart.
The upcoming visit to the UK will include the couple's attendance at the Welch Isle Awards in London on September 8, where Prince Harry is slated to deliver a speech.
Schofield highlighted that the motivation behind Harry and Meghan's return could be attributed to external pressures, including the need to produce content for streaming giants like Spotify and Netflix, with whom they have lucrative deals.
The expectation is to continue enhancing their brand and creating engaging content for their audiences.
Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex accompanied Prince Harry to Germany to mark the commencement of the one-year countdown for the Invictus Games, a sporting event dedicated to wounded servicemen and women.
The couple engaged with local officials, potential competitors for the 2023 Invictus Games, as well as their friends and supporters during the event.
Prince Harry initiated the Invictus Games in 2014 during his tenure as a working member of the royal family, with the couple making a memorable debut of their relationship at the 2017 Games in Toronto.
Their continued involvement in these Games underscores their commitment to supporting and honoring injured service personnel.
