Queen’s Near-Miss Car Crash on 96th Birthday

The Queen narrowly avoided a car crash on her 96th birthday, it has been revealed.

On Thursday, as the monarch sat in the front passenger seat of her black Range Rover, a terrifying incident occurred.

Her driver had to abruptly hit the brakes when they encountered a white Nissan Juke while pulling out of her estate onto a country road.

According to reports, the Queen's car ended up on a grass verge, and the other vehicle had to swerve and make a sudden stop to avoid a collision.

Fortunately, the other car was only traveling at a speed of 30 miles per hour.

A witness stated that the British monarch was extremely fortunate, as vehicles in that area usually travel much faster.

The Range Rover should have yielded at the junction to allow the other car to pass, but as the bystander informed, “We sometimes see cars speeding along that road, so the Queen was very lucky.”

A photograph shared online captured the Queen and her driver looking shocked.

Another picture displayed the white vehicle involved in the near-miss.

This incident occurred on the Queen's 96th birthday, while she is believed to be staying at Sandringham's Wood Farm cottage, which was previously used by after his retirement from public life.

The Queen had flown there via helicopter the day before.

To commemorate her birthday, Buckingham Palace released a new image showcasing the monarch's passion for horses.

The photo features her standing alongside two of her beloved fell ponies, Bybeck Nightingale and Bybeck Katie, who will be participating in this year's Royal Windsor Horse Show.

The picture, taken last month by Henry de Lau, who previously captured an official portrait of the Queen for her 90th birthday, was shot within the grounds of Windsor Castle.

The castle has recently served as the location for many of the Queen's duties, including virtual audiences, and it is where she and her late husband spent most of the Covid-19 pandemic in isolation.

In recent weeks and months, the Queen has faced health challenges, openly acknowledging mobility issues that have led to her withdrawal from several events.

Insiders at the palace informed The Telegraph this week that her attendance at Jubilee weekend celebrations cannot be guaranteed.

A source stated, “The assumption must now be that the Queen will not be present at events.”

If Her Majesty does decide to attend, it will be determined on the day, and she will be accompanied by another member of the Royal Family.
