In the wake of the heartbreaking news of II's passing at the age of 96, significant changes have unfolded within the royal family.

These changes extend beyond personal and emotional aspects and encompass titles and roles as well.

With III assuming the throne, Prince William and Catherine, Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge, have been bestowed with the titles of Prince and Princess of Wales, while is now known as the Queen Consort.

, one of 's eight grandchildren, has also experienced a major shift in her role and responsibilities following her grandmother's demise.

As the eldest daughter of and Sarah, Duchess of York, Beatrice has been appointed as a Councillor of State.

This means that she joins an exclusive group of only four individuals who are authorized to act on behalf of and substitute for King Charles III when necessary.

Beatrice's new duties entail participating in privy council meetings, signing documents, and receiving the credentials of new ambassadors.

Prior to Queen Elizabeth II's passing, the required four councillors of state consisted of her two sons, Prince Charles and , along with Charles' two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.

However, with Charles assuming his role as the reigning monarch, the need arose for a new councillor of state to be appointed.

Previously, it was established that the councillors of state would step in for Her Majesty in case she was unable to fulfill her duties due to illness or absence abroad.

Now, Beatrice will be prepared to fulfill this role for King Charles moving forward.

She has been entrusted with this responsibility because she is the highest-ranking candidate in the line of succession who is over the age of twenty-one.

Despite not being in the direct line of succession, , Queen Consort, wife of King Charles for seventeen years, is also eligible to act as a substitute for her husband if required.

Recently, Beatrice's husband, Italian Count Edomopeli Mozzi, shared an unseen image of Queen Elizabeth and her husband of seventy-three years, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

In his emotional Instagram post, he expressed the difficulty in processing the events of the past twenty-four hours and acknowledged the immense impact the Queen had on the world.

Princess Anne, Queen Elizabeth II's only daughter, will also receive a new title.

The title of Princess Royal is traditionally bestowed upon the eldest daughter of the monarch.

Despite King Charles not having any daughters, Princess Anne will retain the title until her passing.

It is not an inherited title, and , the second child of the new Duke of Cornwall, will not automatically receive it upon Anne's death.

The decision to bestow the Princess Royal title onto lies with her father, Prince William, and may not happen immediately.

Currently, Princess Anne, known as Anne, Princess Royal, is accompanying her late mother's coffin as it travels from Balmoral to Edinburgh.

She managed to be by her mother's side before she peacefully passed away on Thursday afternoon.

As the Queen's only daughter, Anne is expected to play a central role in the upcoming funeral proceedings.

She will also accompany the coffin during its flight from Edinburgh to London on Tuesday.
