Queen Elizabeth II Concerned as Prince Harry Reveals Estrangement with Father
Queen Elizabeth II expressed concern after a conversation with Prince Harry, during which he disclosed that his father, Prince Charles, had ceased communication with him.
The Duke of Sussex, known to have had a close relationship with his grandmother, reportedly reached out to her for assistance after his calls to Prince Charles went unanswered.
The late monarch attempted to mediate between her grandson and King Charles in her final months.
However, the situation remained unresolved.
According to a report by the Daily Express UK, Queen Elizabeth II became worried when Prince Harry informed her about his strained relationship with his father.
As the Queen received numerous calls regarding the matter, she inquired about Prince Charles's response.
Allegedly, Prince Charles replied, “I'm not a bank,” indicating that he was not willing to provide financial support.
It is reported that Prince Harry had been contacting Queen Elizabeth II frequently, particularly after she reduced her royal duties.
While the Queen was always willing to speak with her grandson, she advised him to approach his father for financial matters.
Prince Harry conveyed to Queen Elizabeth II that Prince Charles was no longer taking his calls, according to the report.
In response, Prince Charles, who was then the Prince of Wales, advised his son to communicate through his personal assistant via email rather than calling him directly.
When the Queen inquired about this issue, King Charles reiterated his stance, stating, “I am not a bank.”
