Queen Elizabeth Celebrates 70th Anniversary on the Throne with Unseen Family Photos

Queen Elizabeth, the 95-year-old monarch, is not only the longest reigning royal in Great Britain but also in the entire world.

As she approaches her 70th anniversary on the throne, Her Majesty continues to captivate the public's attention.

In a heartwarming display of family pride, the Queen recently shared previously unseen photos of her beloved great-grandchildren.

During an audience at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, eagle-eyed royal watchers noticed a new picture in the background of a photo.

Upon closer inspection, it became clear that the photograph featured Queen Elizabeth and her late husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, posing with five of their great-grandchildren.

Princess Charlotte was spotted sitting on her great-grandmother's lap, while Prince George stood behind the sofa in a navy collared jumper.

The photograph also included Savannah, the eldest daughter of Peter and Autumn Philip, standing next to her great-grandfather.

Younger sister Isla was seen at the opposite end.

Mia, the eldest daughter of Mike and Zara Tindall, was captured sitting in the middle wearing a navy collared dress.

Based on the ages of the children, it is believed that the photo was taken before 2018, as Prince Louis and Lena Tindall were not present.

In addition to this delightful glimpse into the royal family, another photograph of the Queen's great-grandchildren was spotted next to a vase of flowers.

This touching image was shared by Buckingham Palace prior to the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral in April.

It depicted Louis and Lena as babies and was taken in Balmoral in 2018.

Since then, Queen Elizabeth has welcomed five more great-grandchildren.

Archie and Lilibet, the children of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, August, the first child of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, Lucas, the son of Mike and Zara Tindall, and Sienna, the daughter of Princess Beatrice and Eduardo Marpelli Mosey, have all joined the royal family.

Amidst these heartwarming family moments, Queen Elizabeth also took the opportunity during her audience to present Thomas Trotter, a concert organist, with the prestigious Queen's Medal for Music award.

This annual award is given to musicians who have made a significant impact on the nation's musical life.

The Queen's recent engagements also included attending the christening of two of her great-grandsons, August Brooksbank and Lucas Tindall, at All Saints Chapel in Windsor Great Park.

Additionally, she extended her warm welcome to Princess Beatrice following the princess's health scare, which led to a brief hospital stay in October.

Although the exact medical reasons were not disclosed, it was confirmed that they were unrelated to COVID-19.

Now in better spirits, Queen Elizabeth eagerly anticipates the Royal Family's traditional Christmas gathering at her Sandringham Estate.
