Queen Camilla Returns to Royal Duties After Family Reunion
Queen Camilla of the British Royal Family has made an emotional return to her royal duties following a heartwarming family reunion.
After spending quality time with her husband, King Charles, and other family members at Balmoral Palace, Her Majesty is now back on a special tour.
Her first engagement upon her return was at Fielding Primary School in Ealing, where she participated in Poetry Together, an initiative spearheaded by her close friend, Jill Brandett.
The program, which was launched in 2019 in collaboration with Duke's Education and National Poetry Day, aims to bring together elementary school children and seniors, many of whom reside in nursing homes.
They learn the same poem and then recite it together during a Poetry Together tea party, where they bond over a cup of tea and share their love for poetry.
During her visit to the school, Queen Camilla presented certificates to the participants and enjoyed an impressive concert.
She also surprised the students by bringing them a special cake baked at Buckingham Palace.
Additionally, Her Majesty had the honor of officially opening the school's new library.
The Queen, with a beaming smile, joined legendary story characters Alice and the Mad Hatter in cutting a delicious cake to mark the occasion.
Literature holds a special place in Queen Camilla's heart.
In 2021, she launched the Queen's Reading Room, a charity dedicated to promoting the joy of reading among adults and children in the UK and around the world.
“Reading was a great adventure for me.
I loved it from a young age, and I hope others will enjoy it as much as I did.
In a book, you can run away, travel, laugh, and cry.
Every emotion a person experiences can be found within its pages,” expressed Queen Camilla, emphasizing her passion for books.
This special visit follows the Queen's leisurely time spent at Balmoral Castle, her Scottish residence, during the final weeks of summer.
Joining her were Princess Eugenie and her two children, Augusta and baby Ernest, as well as Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mosai, along with his family.
Balmoral Castle, a favorite of the late Queen Elizabeth II, is an exquisite estate spanning approximately 50,000 acres, offering breathtaking views of mountains, rivers, lakes, forests, and gardens.
