Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice to Inherit Grand Royal Residence

and are on the verge of inheriting a magnificent royal residence, as per recent claims.

The Royal Lodge in Windsor has been home to , 64, since 2003, boasting an impressive 30 rooms.

Following the passing of his grandmother, the Queen Mother, who resided there until her demise at the age of 101 in 2002, the Duke of York assumed control of the Royal Lodge.

Subsequently, he undertook extensive repairs and refurbishments to the property, investing nearly £7 million in the process.

Reports from the Times suggest that should vacate the estate within the first 25 years of his tenure, he stands to receive a partial reimbursement of initial expenses on a decreasing scale.

Unlike a traditional royal residence, the Royal Lodge operates under a commercial lease agreement with the Crown Estate.

The Duke of York made an initial payment of £1 million, with an estimated annual rent of £260,000.

In the event of Prince Andrew's passing, the lease can only be transferred to immediate family members, likely his daughters, , 35, and , 34.

Growing up, the sisters spent a significant portion of their childhood and teenage years at the Royal Lodge, with Eugenie even choosing the venue for her wedding ceremony.

Although not part of the leased property, the private royal chapel where Princess Beatrice exchanged vows with Edoardo Moppeli Mozzi in July 2020 falls within the boundaries of the Lodge.

Presently, Beatrice and Edoardo reside in an apartment at St James's Palace, where Wolfie, Edoardo's eight-year-old stepson from a previous relationship, frequently stays alongside Sienna, Beatrice's two-year-old daughter, and her husband.

In contrast, Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, divide their time between the UK and Portugal.

Jack, 38, commenced employment in marketing, sales, and promotion for property developer Michael Meldman's Discovery Land in Portugal in 2022.

As the future unfolds, it appears increasingly likely that the Royal Lodge will eventually be passed down to Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, marking a new chapter in their royal journey.
