Princess Charlotte’s Favorite Song Revealed as Prince William Discusses Musical Tastes of the Royal Children
In a recent appearance on the Apple Fitness Plus podcast Time to Walk, Prince William shared insights into the musical preferences of his three children, revealing that Princess Charlotte has a particular fondness for a vintage pop song.
The Prince and Princess of Wales' youngest daughter enjoys dancing and dressing up to this specific tune, while her newborn brother, Prince Louis, imitates her moves.
During his participation on the Time to Walk podcast in 2021, Prince William touched upon various royal topics, including his children.
When discussing their musical inclinations, he mentioned, “‘The song Waka Waka' by Shakira is one that the kids are now into.
There are numerous hip movements occurring.
There is a lot of costume wear.”
He further explained that Princess Charlotte can often be found pacing the kitchen in dresses, ballet attire, and various accessories, with Prince Louis eagerly following her footsteps.
Prince George, the eldest of the three children, and Princess Charlotte have had their disagreements over which song to play in the morning, according to Prince William.
He humorously remarked, “‘And I now have to prioritize so that someone else completes this task one day, and I take care of that task the next day.'”
After George's turn, it is Charlotte's chance to choose the music.
Prince William expressed his amazement at how much his children have inherited the family's love for music.
Although the children of the Prince and Princess of Wales are often shielded from public view, Prince George and Princess Charlotte have made appearances alongside their parents on certain royal outings.
In March 2022, they attended the Duke of Edinburgh's memorial ceremony at Westminster Abbey, marking their first significant ecclesiastical occasion.
Later in September, they also attended the late Queen's state burial, where their impeccable behavior garnered praise from royal enthusiasts and experts.
However, during the recent Commonwealth Day service, the three children were notably absent.
Fans speculated that their absence was due to the event being held on a Monday afternoon, conflicting with their school schedules.
While no official explanation was provided, it is clear that the Prince and Princess of Wales prioritize their children's education alongside their royal duties.
