Princess Charlotte’s 6th Birthday: A Royal Resemblance

The Royal Family recently unveiled a portrait of Princess Charlotte in celebration of her sixth birthday.

The photograph, taken by her mother, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, was captured over the weekend in Norfolk.

Royal fans have been captivated by the image, with many noting the striking resemblance between Charlotte and her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

In the portrait, Charlotte is seen outdoors, donning an adorable Rachel Riley floral dress.

The dark blue outfit features pink buttons, frills cascading down the dress, and a collar adorned with frills as well.

With her hair left loose, Charlotte proudly displays her long, blonde locks, a departure from her usual plaits.

Royal enthusiasts have warmly welcomed this new glimpse of Charlotte and have flooded social media with birthday wishes for the young princess.

Numerous eagle-eyed fans have also observed the growing likeness between Charlotte and the Queen.

One Twitter user remarked, “I've always said I see so much of Her Majesty the Queen in little Princess Charlotte.

She's got the Queen's eyes.”

A third admirer chimed in, “I've always thought Princess Charlotte was a mix of the Queen and Prince William.”

Comparisons were drawn between the portrait and one of the Queen herself, then known as Princess Elizabeth, when she was six years old.

The resemblance between Princess Charlotte and her great-grandmother is uncanny, particularly in their captivating smiles.

This year's portrait is not the only instance where similarities can be spotted.

Previous photographs of Princess Charlotte at the same age consistently reveal her likeness to the Queen.

Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana was born on May 2, 2015, as the second child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in London.
