Princess Catherine Curtsies to King and Queen Consort at Christmas Carol Concert

Princess Catherine of Wales organized the much-anticipated Together at Christmas carol concert, which took place on Thursday night at Westminster Abbey.

The event, attended by a number of royals, including the King and his wife, was filmed for airing on ITV on December 24th.

As the royals arrived at the Abbey, cameras captured the heartwarming moment when Catherine curtsied to the King and Queen Consort in public for the first time since Charles III ascended the throne.

Dressed in a stylish burgundy coat by Eponine London, the Princess approached the King and greeted him with a kiss on each cheek before gracefully curtsying.

Other members of the royal family, such as the Countess of Wessex, , Edoardo Mapelli Mosi, , Jack Brooksbank, and Michael Zara Tyndall, also attended the event to show their support for Catherine.

To everyone's surprise, and two of their three children, Prince George IX and VII, made a surprise appearance at the service.

In a shared footage from the service, the King warmly greeted his daughter-in-law Catherine, who beamed at him while giving him kisses on both cheeks.

Catherine then proceeded to curtsy to the King, affectionately rubbing his arm.

She extended a similar familiar greeting to , who appeared overjoyed to be attending the event.

Charles, too, greeted his grandchildren, Prince George and , with kisses on their cheeks.

Viewers watching the event were moved by the display of respect and wrote heartfelt comments expressing their admiration.

One viewer remarked, “Lovely to see this event and the due respect paid to the King and Queen.

I am pleased they were there to support our Princess of Wales.”

Another commented, “She curtsies to them with elegance and confidence but no fuss, as always.

The overwhelming sentiment was that Catherine's respectful gesture was deserving of praise and that she would make a wonderful future Queen.

Professional body language expert Judy James analyzed Catherine's curtsy to the King and Queen Consort for the UK's Express.

James praised Catherine's perfect curtsy, describing it as “two small but significant bobs” as she welcomed the royal couple to her carol concert.

According to James, the gestures of unity displayed at the carol service highlighted the close bond within the family.

The expert also noted a similar level of warmth between Queen and Princess Catherine, observing that Camilla's hands were placed on Catherine's shoulders during their greeting.
