According to a source, after spending Christmas with the royal family at Sandringham, Catherine and William were seen taking their children to the home of Carol and Michael Middleton, Catherine's parents, in West Berkshire to celebrate New Year's Eve.

This holiday holds special significance for the Wales family, as they reflect on a year filled with particular challenges and significant moments.

The Middletons had rented a home in Berkshire for the festive season, and it seems that the night will be lively and full of great party atmosphere, according to an unnamed friend who said, “The Middletons are always great hosts and want their guests to enjoy themselves.”

Insiders reveal that Carol and Michael Middleton are known for throwing extravagant parties in their back garden, often with over 100 guests in attendance.

Although no photos or details from the event were shared, it is clear that the celebrations were grand.

This is not the first time Princess Catherine and Prince William have chosen to spend Christmas with Catherine's family in Berkshire.

In 2017, they also deviated from tradition, opting for a cozy celebration with the Middletons.

It is suggested that some of the younger members of the royal family may be seeking more personal time during the holidays.

As the younger generation grows, they may want to explore their own traditions and spend time alone.

The Middleton parents reside in a large home in the village of Bucklebury, which is less than an hour's drive from Adelaide Cottage, the residence of the Wales family.

Bucklebury is also known for hosting vibrant New Year's Eve parties.

However, it is known that Carol Middleton is a hands-on grandmother who loves spending time with her grandchildren during the Christmas period.

She begins planning for the festivities right after Halloween and aims to have as many Christmas trees as possible, including one in the grandchildren's bedroom.

Carol wrote on Instagram, “Once again, this year, we plan to have two Christmas trees, one for the children to decorate and one which I will decorate myself.”

She even shared a trick to keep Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis entertained while decorating, saying, “A good choice of stocking fillers can give one extra time, undisturbed in bed on Christmas Day.”
