Princess Beatrice Wears Queen’s Wedding Tiara for Secret Royal Wedding

Princess Beatrice of York recently tied the knot with Mr. Mapley-Mozzie in a secret wedding ceremony at Windsor.

The royal bride surprised everyone by wearing the same tiara that Queen Elizabeth II wore on her own wedding day to Prince Philip.

This stunning diamond headpiece, known as the Queen Mary fringe tiara, holds a significant place in the monarchy's history.

Princess Diana wore the Spencer-Tiara, and Duchess Camilla wore one from her mother on their respective wedding days.

Initially, many speculated that Princess Beatrice might choose to wear the tiara her mother wore on her own wedding day.

This exquisite headpiece was originally commissioned by Queen Mary using diamonds gifted to her by Queen Victoria.

However, there was a mishap with the tiara on the morning of Queen Elizabeth II's wedding.

Just two hours before the ceremony, the tiara snapped in half as the hairdresser was fixing the bride's veil.

The Queen Mother, remaining calm, reassured her daughter that there were still two hours left and other tiaras to choose from.

Fortunately, the royal family's jeweler was on standby and managed to repair the tiara just in time for it to be placed on the Queen's head.

After the wedding, the tiara was returned to the Queen Mother, who kept it for the rest of her life.

Although rarely seen in public, she lent it for another royal wedding, that of Princess Anne and Mark Philip in 1973.

For Princess Beatrice's wedding, some claim that the tiara looked slightly askew in certain pictures, but many praised the bride's choice and thought it looked perfect.
