Princess Beatrice Unscathed as Netflix Projector Makes Appearance in New Series Drama

Princess Beatrice emerged unscathed from her connection to Prince Andrew's career-defining Newsnight interview, as revealed by a Royal commentator.

The controversial 2019 interview featuring the Duke of York and conducted by Emily Maitlis has been immortalized in the recent Netflix production titled Scoop, which premiered last month.

In this film, Princess Beatrice, portrayed by Charity Wakefield, makes a fleeting appearance.

Furthermore, Amazon is in the process of developing a spinoff series in collaboration with Maitlis that delves deeper into the repercussions of the infamous interview, with Beatrice set to be depicted in the upcoming show named A Very Royal Scandal.

Discussing the impact of Beatrice's involvement in Scoop, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams shared his insights on GB News, affirming that her reputation remained unscathed despite her brief appearance in the film.

“I don't think it hurt her,” Fitzwilliams remarked.

He emphasized the significance of her participation while hinting at potential future roles, suggesting that any further involvement might prove less beneficial.

“It's important that she was involved.

I would call it somewhat unhelpful,” he added.

Additionally, Fitzwilliams noted that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are unlikely to be elevated to active members of the royal family, with the Princes of York being more probable candidates to assume royal duties amidst a shortage of working royals.
