Princess Anne Takes Charge in Royal Family Crisis: Dealing with Prince Andrew and Prince Harry
The peaceful passing of the Queen at Balmoral last month may have seen the royal family unite in a time of grief, but tensions are said to remain high between certain relatives.
While much attention has been on King Charles Ayue since his accession to the throne, it is believed that Princess Anne has been chosen to handle the crisis facing the royal family.
Known for her no-nonsense attitude, the Gloucestershire royal is stepping up to fill the void left by her late father, according to Charlotte Griffiths, editor-at-large of the Mail on Sunday.
Prince Philip, who passed away in April 2021, often dealt with internal issues within the royal family, and now Princess Anne is preparing to channel her father's energy and confront her brother, Prince Andrew, and nephew, Prince Harry.
For quite some time, Charles has advocated for a streamlined monarchy, as reports had indicated even before his mother's passing.
There were concerns that Princess Anne, a hardworking member of the royal family, would be sidelined as the throne was handed over to Charles, as reported by the Express.
It is now believed that the King has enlisted the help of his younger sister to resolve disputes and handle controversial members of the family.
This idea was suggested by a viewer of Palace Confidential, with host Joe Elvin commenting on the matter.
One viewer, Kiernan, wrote in saying, “Anne would be a viable replacement for Philip.
She has the right temperament, and as the eldest sibling of the King, she is the only one that could put both Andrew and Harry in their places.”
Charlotte Griffiths wholeheartedly agreed, jokingly adding, “When he says the right temperament for the job, does he mean total battle axe?
We love her for that.
That no-nonsense royal that we are missing after Philip.
I think we need someone to knock their heads together.
I'm thinking Harry here, probably Andrew too.
We need that in the royal family.”
This development comes after the release of the Queen's Death Certificate last week, which was signed by Princess Anne, the only daughter of the Queen.
Anne was by her mother's side when she passed away and accompanied her coffin during its journey from Balmoral to London, alongside her husband, Sir Timothy Lawrence.
