Princess Anne Denies Meghan’s Plea to Reassign Harry to Royal Logistic Corps
Princess Anne, known for her diligent work within the Royal Family, made a striking appearance at the 30th Anniversary Parade for the Royal Logistic Corps in Winchester last Thursday.
The 72-year-old Princess Royal was dressed impeccably in a charming pastel coat and matching hat.
As the Colonel-in-Chief of the Royal Logistic Corps, she attended the special parade at Guildhall, Winchester, before witnessing a service of Thanksgiving at Winchester Cathedral.
Interestingly, Princess Anne seems to have mixed feelings toward her nephew, Prince Harry.
Despite her fondness for the 38-year-old Prince, the Princess Royal is reportedly upset with his recent actions, which have caused significant turmoil within the Royal Clan.
Taking advantage of this situation, Meghan Markle reached out to Princess Anne, pretending to apologize for her previous behavior towards the Royal Family.
The Duchess then suggested that Prince Harry be reassigned to the Royal Logistic Corps of the British Army.
However, as mentioned earlier, Princess Anne advised Harry to separate from Meghan and return to the Royal Family promptly to avoid being disqualified from future Royal celebrations.
Princess Anne had initially opposed Prince Harry's marriage to Meghan, deeming a former American actress unfit to be a Royal Wife.
Yet, unable to resist the power of love, she reluctantly agreed to let her beloved grandson marry Meghan, with whom she had no sympathy.
Therefore, until Meghan Markle disappears from the Royal Family's life, Princess Anne will never consent to this preposterous request.
In a recent interaction, Royal commentator Jenny Bond described Princess Anne as a candid and straightforward individual, much like her late mother, Queen Elizabeth.
Princess Anne is known for her ability to compartmentalize situations and speak her mind.
During her visit to the Royal Logistic Corps parade, Princess Anne received a royal salute before inspecting the parade, which involved more than 500 personnel.
She took the opportunity to converse with several cadets and veterans, gaining insight into their work.
The Royal Logistic Corps, established in 1993, plays a vital role in supporting the Army's wider defense activities, both domestically and internationally.
It was formed by merging several corps, including the Royal Corps of Transport, the Royal Army Ordnance Corps, the Royal Pioneer Corps, and the Army Catering Corps.
The corps encompasses various trades, such as communications specialists, postal and courier operations, logisticians, and chefs.
Princess Anne's visit held special significance as she inaugurated the RLC's Worthy Down Barracks Base near Winchester in 2021.
Just a week ago, the Princess Royal was seen alongside her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Lawrence, during a joint outing in Liverpool.
Together, they unveiled a Garden of Reflection dedicated to the servicemen who lost their lives during the Battle of the Atlantic in World War II.
This military campaign lasted from 1939 to 1945, resulting in an estimated 65,000 seamen losing their lives.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry is expected to return to London next week to testify in the trial against MGM.
The trial involves allegations of unlawful information gathering, including phone hacking, brought forward by the prince and other prominent figures.
This will be the first time in over two decades that a member of the royal family has testified in court since Princess Anne's appearance back in 2002.
Princess Anne had pleaded guilty to a charge under the Dangerous Dogs Act after her English Bull Terrier, Dottie, bit two children.
She was fined £500 and ordered to pay £250 in compensation and £148 in costs, while Dottie was required to undergo training.
Harry is one of four claimants whose cases have been selected for the trial, alongside Coronation Street actors Michael Turner and Nicky Sanderson, as well as comedian Paul Whitehouse's ex-wife, Fiona Whitman.
He is expected to arrive on Monday and take the stand the following day.
This trip comes after celebrating his youngest child's second birthday on Sunday, June 4.
Harry was last in the country for the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla on May 6, immediately leaving afterward to be present for Archie's birthday.
