However, unlike previous royal births, the news of Meghan going into labor was reported by Sky News around 2 pm, deviating from tradition where the household usually makes the announcement.

This departure from protocol and William's alleged disapproval is said to be the reason why he and Kate waited eight days before visiting the couple and their newborn.

Royal author Robert Lacey, in his book “Battle of the Brothers,” revealed William's view on the matter.

He wrote, “William did not think too highly of Harry and Meghan's prima donna maneuvers to conceal the birth of their son in May 2019.”

Lacey further explained that the delay in William and Kate's visit confirmed this impression.

The couple later announced the name of their first-born child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, and shared the news that they had introduced him to II, the Duke of Edinburgh, and Meghan's mother at Windsor Castle.

Archie made his first public appearance in May of that year, and Meghan expressed her joy, saying, “It's magic, it's pretty amazing.

Harry and Meghan returned to the UK for the Queen's Jubilee, their first visit as a family since stepping back from their royal roles.

Although it has been reported that they have already met with the Queen and introduced her to their daughter Lilibet, they have yet to be seen publicly with her.

The Queen, however, withdrew from Friday's service due to discomfort she experienced the day before.
