Prince William and Catherine Share Romantic Gestures at Royal Charity Polo Cup
Prince William and Catherine, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, displayed their affection for each other at the Royal Charity Polo Cup.
The tournament took place at the Castle Ground at the Guards Polo Club in Berkshire, just a stone's throw away from Windsor Castle.
The couple shared a public kiss after William's polo team emerged victorious in the tournament, which aimed to raise funds for various charities and associations close to their hearts.
Catherine presented the prize to William, and they exchanged kisses on both cheeks.
The highlight of the event occurred when Catherine presented William with an imitation warrior's helmet, a gift from the Japanese sponsors of the tournament.
William was clearly impressed, exclaiming, “Wow!”
Catherine also distributed helmet trophies and other awards before posing for a group photograph with all the players.
As they walked together, the couple put their arms around each other, with their adorable dog following closely behind.
The Cambridges brought their new black Cocker Spaniel, Orla, to the event.
Prior to this, Orla was seen happily running around, enjoying the summer sunshine.
The couple's previous Cocker Spaniel, Lupo, unfortunately passed away in November 2020.
While cheering on her husband during his return to the polo field, Catherine appeared relaxed and content as she stroked Orla.
She was spotted giving the dog a gentle pat on the head while sipping on a glass of Pimm's in the sunshine.
For the outing, William and Catherine opted for smart casual summer attire.
The Duchess wore a flowing white sleeveless dress by one of her favorite brands, Amelia Wickstead.
The dress featured black curved pipe detailing down the front, and she paired it with beige leather flats.
Catherine accessorized with wooden Cezanne circle earrings and alternated between wearing her Finlay tortoiseshell sunglasses over her eyes and pushing them back on top of her head.
William, on the other hand, sported a casual ensemble consisting of white trousers and a powder blue button-down shirt.
Before the polo match began, William and Catherine took the time to chat with guests.
William was making his debut in the round-robin event, representing the US Polo Assin team against BP Polo and Monterosso Vikings.
The Duchess appeared lively and engaged as she conversed with attendees before settling down to watch the tournament.
Organizers reported that the event raised over £1 million for various charitable causes.
The patronages and organizations benefiting from the funds include Shout, the Foundling Museum, the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust, London Air Ambulance, Mountain Rescue England and Wales, the Anna Feward Centre, Family Action, the Forward Trust, East Anglia Children's Hospice, and The Passage, according to Kensington Palace.
This charity polo match is not Prince William's first endeavor in supporting organizations.
Over the years, he has hosted and participated in several games dedicated to raising funds for various causes.
