Prince Louis Yet to Embark on First Royal Tour

The youngest child of the Prince and Princess of Wales, , has captivated royal enthusiasts with his numerous public appearances over the past few years.

At just the age of five, he has already achieved several significant milestones, from his endearing reactions on the Buckingham Palace balcony during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022 to his debut at the Christmas Day church service last December.

Moreover, shortly after his grandfather ' coronation in May, Louis even participated in his first official public engagement alongside his parents and older siblings, Prince George and .

However, there is one milestone that the young prince has yet to reach – his first royal tour.

Prince George embarked on his inaugural royal tour when he was eight months old in 2014, visiting Australia and New Zealand.

, on the other hand, joined her parents on their tour of Canada in 2016 at the age of 16 months.

Nevertheless, Louis has not had the opportunity to go on a royal tour with his parents, and the reasons behind this remain unclear.

Despite starting at his new school, Lambrook, in September 2022 after the Wales family relocated to Windsor over the summer, Louis has not been able to go on a tour.

Additionally, the pandemic and school term schedules cannot fully explain this absence.

Last November, William and Kate embarked on a three-day trip to Boston, United States.

Unfortunately, this trip coincided with the school term, making it difficult for George, Charlotte, and Louis to accompany their parents.

On November 7th, William and Kate are expected to travel to Singapore for the Earthshot Prize Awards, which may also clash with the children's schooling.

Kensington Palace has yet to formally announce any further overseas visits for this year, leaving uncertainty surrounding Louis' potential debut on a royal tour.

In 2019, the Prince and Princess of Wales embarked on a five-day tour of Pakistan; however, none of their children accompanied them.

At the time, Kensington Palace stated that it was the couple's most complex tour to date.

The following year, the pandemic presented challenges for international travel, resulting in fewer engagements taking place outside the United Kingdom.

It wasn't until 2022 that William and Kate undertook their first international tour since the pandemic began, visiting the Caribbean for ten days.

Once again, the three children did not accompany their parents due to school commitments, with Louis attending nursery at the time.

During William and Kate's eight-day tour of Canada in September, they brought along their two children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

While this was not George's first major trip, as he had previously accompanied his parents on their visit to Australia and New Zealand in 2014, it marked Charlotte's debut in the world of high-profile appearances.

She made quite an impression during a play date in British Columbia, thoroughly enjoying her time surrounded by balloon animals and bubble machines.

In fact, she even uttered her first public word, exclaiming “Pop!”

as she hugged a giant balloon arch.

Recently, the Holt family enjoyed a day out at the Air Show, with all three children joining their parents as their school holidays began.

The royal children were treated to a thrilling display of jets, helicopters, and historic planes.

William and Kate arrived at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, where they were warmly greeted by Wing Commander Will Essex.

This visit was not unfamiliar territory for George, as he had previously attended the show with his parents in 2016 when he was just three years old.

At the time, he was pictured wearing ear defenders.
