These numbers surpassed previous royal events, including the Platinum Jubilee concert and the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The interest in the monarchy remains substantial, as demonstrated by the high viewership.

Despite the revelations and allegations made by Meghan and Prince Harry in recent months, it seems that the damage to the institution was not as severe as initially feared.

The coronation service, where King Charles and Queen were crowned by the Archbishop of Canterbury, attracted fewer viewers than the wedding of and in 2011, which was followed by around 24 million viewers at its peak.

Additionally, 's funeral garnered more than 28 million viewers last September.

The release of Harry and Meghan's Netflix docuseries, which included allegations against the royal family, raised questions about the couple's intentions.

Some sources speculated that their goal was to bring down the monarchy.
