Prince Harry’s Attendance at Father’s Coronation in Doubt
The strained relationship between Prince Harry and his family has taken another turn, as it is now anticipated that he will not attend his father's coronation in May.
The ongoing saga of the Duke and Duchess continues to captivate attention, with Prince Harry being tipped to skip the upcoming coronation of King Charles on May 6th.
This news comes in the wake of the release of Prince Harry's memoir, “Spare,” and his interviews with the press, which have further strained his relations with his family.
Bookmaker William Hill has adjusted their odds for Prince Harry's attendance at the coronation, slashing his chances of being present from 11-8 to 2-7.
Last month, the odds of Harry attending had moved from 5-2 to 8-15.
William Hill's spokesperson, Lee Phelps, commented on the matter, stating that following the King's request for the couple to vacate Frogmore Cottage, there now seems to be even more doubt over Prince Harry's presence at this year's coronation.
The odds now stand at 2-7 for Harry to shun Westminster Abbey on May 6th, having been as high as 11-8 only a month ago, with the price that shows face on the daily converse priced at 5-2.
The news of Prince Harry's potential absence from the coronation comes shortly after the Duke and Duchess were asked to vacate Frogmore Cottage, which had been their home while they were working members of the royal family.
The property was renovated by the Sussexes in 2018 at a cost of $2.4 million, initially covered by taxpayer money.
However, they later paid back the full amount.
Royal commentator Tom Bauer has claimed that the decision to ask the Sussexes to leave Frogmore Cottage was provoked by Prince Harry's memoir.
He told Page Six, “Harry and memoir provoked him, Charles and Harry's disgraceful book with interviews he gave.”
A friend of the Duchess of Sussex was quoted saying that the Sussexes were stunned by the development, feeling that it all feels very final and a cruel punishment.
As speculation continues to grow, many are wondering if Prince Harry will indeed skip his uncle's coronation.
Some believe that the ongoing rift within the royal family may be too deep to heal any time soon, while others remain hopeful that he will put his differences aside and attend this important event.
Regardless of the outcome, one thing is certain: the Duke and Duchess of Sussex continue to be a source of endless fascination for the public.
Every move they make is scrutinized by the media.
The future of the couple and their relationship with the royal family remains uncertain.
The world will be watching closely to see what unfolds.
