Prince Harry and Prince William Put Aside Feud to Mourn Queen Elizabeth II
Prince Harry celebrated his 38th birthday with his wife Meghan Markle amidst a challenging week.
The brothers, who have been at odds, came together to mourn the loss of their grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
This was the first time they were seen in the UK since the late monarch's Platinum Jubilee in June.
Over the weekend, they joined Prince William and Kate Middleton for a walkabout at Windsor Castle, where they greeted thousands of well-wishers paying their respects.
During a walkabout at the Sandringham Estate, Prince William assured the crowds that he had not forgotten his brother's birthday.
In an olive branch gesture, he invited Harry and Meghan to join the walkabout, acknowledging their move overseas with their children Archie and Lilibet.
The two princes were also seen marching together during a solemn procession in the capital.
Later, they were joined by Kate and Meghan at Westminster Hall, where the Queen is lying in rest.
While Harry and Meghan were not present at William's Adelaide Cottage home in Windsor, it remains unclear how they celebrated his birthday.
However, reports suggest that the royal brothers sat down for a dinner together after receiving the Queen's Coffin at Buckingham Palace earlier in the week.
Despite their reported estrangement since Harry's departure from the royal family, this intimate gathering took place as a family reunion.
On Saturday, Prince Harry will pay tribute to the Queen by wearing his military uniform during a lying-in-state vigil at Westminster Hall.
He has been granted special permission to don his military colors alongside his brother and other grandchildren of the Queen.
This decision was made after controversy arose when Prince Andrew, also no longer a working royal, was allowed to wear his uniform at an earlier vigil.
In other news, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly not received an invitation to a special state event hosted by King Charles III in honor of Queen Elizabeth's memory.
The event, scheduled for Sunday, September 18, 2022, will be attended by heads of states, official foreign guests, and working royals.
The couple, along with Prince Andrew, have been excluded from the guest list, with only working royals being included.
Buckingham Palace confirmed that only working royals will take part in the state event hosted by the King and Queen consort.
The statement also mentioned that the event would precede the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth.
Prince Harry and Prince Andrew, although banned from wearing their military uniforms at the Queen's funeral, have been allowed to wear them at other special events.
