Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Love Story Unveiled in Netflix Documentary
In the captivating Netflix documentary “Harry and Meghan,” Prince Harry and Meghan Markle opened up about the early stages of their relationship and how it blossomed into the fairytale romance we all know today.
However, one comment made by Harry during the documentary has raised eyebrows.
Director Liz Garbus asked Prince Harry what was going through his mind when he saw Meghan walking down the aisle on their wedding day.
Harry's response, though meant to be light-hearted, has been criticized as misogynistic.
He exclaimed, “Look at me, look what I got!”
before Meghan interjected with laughter, saying, “Oh my gosh.”
Harry continued, “Look what I found.
The world was watching us, but when we were actually at the altar, as far as I was concerned, it was just the two of us.”
The Daily Mirror's royal editor, Russell Myers, picked up on Prince Harry's statement and labeled it as misogynistic.
However, Myers also noted that Harry quickly corrected himself and acknowledged his mistake.
“He definitely had to pull the handbrake up on that one,” Myers said during an interview with Zoe Forsey.
Forsey, on the other hand, defended Prince Harry's recollection, describing it as lovely.
She argued that Harry simply shared what went through his mind when he saw Meghan looking absolutely beautiful in her gorgeous gown.
Markle herself shared her feelings about the big day, describing it as surreal.
“The whole thing was surreal,” she said.
“It was at that moment I could also see H. On the day of our wedding, it's like I went into a really calm space.
I don't know how I was so calm.
I look back and wonder how I managed to remain so composed.
All I wanted was a mimosa, a croissant, and to play the song ‘Go into the Chapel.'
That's exactly what I did, and it was great.”
However, amidst the romantic revelations in the documentary, one royal fan on Reddit has exposed what they believe to be a significant lie by Meghan.
The fan pointed out that Thomas Markle, Meghan's father, was not invited to the wedding, as confirmed in Bower's book.
Thomas Markle himself stated that he never received an invitation, and no representatives from the family flew out to meet him, unlike Doria, Meghan's mother.
The fan further questioned how it was possible that Harry had never met his future father-in-law.
Despite dating since 2016, there seemed to be no effort made for Harry to meet or get to know Thomas Markle, who would become his father-in-law.
This revelation challenges Meghan's narrative of being a victim of her father's neglect, suggesting that she intentionally excluded him from the wedding.
Adding to the intrigue, Netflix credited the agency responsible for staging paparazzi photographs with Thomas Markle Sr. in 2018.
The LA agency Coleman Rayner appeared in the credits under the section “archival materials courtesy of.”
This supports previous suggestions that Meghan may have orchestrated the photoshoot to provide a reason for not inviting her father to the wedding.
Although her father's subsequent heart attack disrupted her plan, it ultimately worked out in line with her intentions.
The Netflix documentary delves into the complexities of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's relationship, shedding light on both their heartfelt moments and the controversies surrounding their wedding.
As viewers, we are left with a mix of emotions, questioning the truth behind the carefully curated narrative presented to us.
