The deep rift between Buckingham Palace and the Sussexes may be a factor in the lack of royal participation in the series.

Notably, even Princess Eugenie, who is still on good terms with the couple, will not be appearing.

Despite being on good terms with Harry and Meghan, Vogue editor Edward Enninful is also not involved in the project.

Another notable absence is Sir Elton John, a close friend of the late , who had previously defended the Sussexes.

David Furnish, Elton John's husband and one of the executives working on a proposed archival show called Pearl, which was eventually scrapped, will also not be participating.

Additionally, music producer David Foster has confirmed that he won't be taking part in the series.

Omid Scobie, known for his support of the Sussexes, and royal biographer Tina Brown are also not involved in the project.

According to US sources, Oprah Winfrey and the Obamas are hesitant to get involved in what they perceive as a family drama.

There are rumors that 's mother, Doria Ragland, may make an appearance, although she has never spoken on camera before.

However, it remains unconfirmed.

Earl Spencer, the brother of , declined to comment on whether he or his sisters Jane and Sarah might appear in the program, but sources suggest it is highly unlikely.

In a surprising turn of events, and Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, were reportedly not thrilled with the first teaser for and Meghan Markle's Netflix series.

The teaser aired during their trip to Boston, leaving the couple flummoxed.

According to a source, this has added significant strain to already fragile relationships.

The docuseries promises to reveal the prejudice Harry and Meghan faced at the palace, with the couple sharing their side of the story candidly.

The timing of the trailer's release did not go unnoticed by royal observers, who questioned why it coincided with William and Catherine's long-planned trip to the US.

Royal expert Jonathan Saccondoti remarked that it showed the couple's desire to hijack the publicity surrounding the trip.

The teaser footage included a still photo from the March 2020 Commonwealth service, where Harry and Meghan attended alongside William and Catherine shortly after announcing their plans to step back from the royal family.

The event garnered attention at the time due to the apparent tension between the brothers.

Adding fuel to the fire, royal author Tom Bower claimed in his book Revenge that Catherine and Meghan had a disagreement over the hemline and fit of 's dress, as well as whether the bridesmaids should wear tights at the wedding.

Bower suggested that Catherine was exhausted from giving birth to and couldn't handle the disagreement, while Meghan refused to compromise, leading to Catherine's upset.

As the release of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Netflix series approaches, it is clear that their celebrity friends and even some members of the royal family have chosen not to participate.

The reasons behind these decisions remain speculative, but the ongoing tensions between the Sussexes and Buckingham Palace may be a significant factor.
