Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Eyeing Multi-Million Dollar Malibu Mansion Amidst Neighbor Annoyance
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly considering purchasing a luxurious new house in Malibu, Los Angeles, following reports of their neighbors' frustration.
The couple has set their sights on a plush home located in the Santa Monica Mountains region, near the beach city.
If acquired, this 10,000 square foot mansion will become the Sussex's primary residence.
The property already features a guardhouse, pool, seating terrace, and fire pit, but constructing a new house could cost an additional £8 million.
The decision to seek a new home comes after Harry and Meghan allegedly irritated their neighbors in their current residence in Montecito, Santa Barbara.
According to TMZ, locals claim that the mere presence of the Sussexes has caused chaos, with paparazzi photographers constantly swarming around their home and helicopters flying overhead.
Living in close proximity to Harry and Meghan has compromised everyone's privacy, according to one disgruntled local.
The proposed new property would be less than an hour away from Los Angeles, allowing the Sussexes to mingle with the city's celebrity residents.
Among them are Academy Award-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio and socialite Paris Hilton.
Interestingly, rumors suggest that Meghan Markle is searching for a home in Malibu to be closer to Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos and Jeff Bezos, possibly with the intention of establishing connections with them.
This speculation arose after she was spotted sitting in the same box as Ted and Jeff at a Beyoncé concert.
It seems she is willing to flirt with any wealthy man she can engage in conversation, considering Ted Sarandos' net worth of $320 million and his previous purchase of a beachfront home in Malibu for $10.2 million.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that Meghan has compelled a depressed Harry to make a significant move to Malibu, giving him an ultimatum to either accept it or leave it.
Royal commentator Angela Levin, speaking on Sky News, revealed that this major change has left Prince Harry feeling downcast after Meghan expressed her desire to live closer to Hollywood.
“I don't think Harry wants to be in Malibu.
They spent a short time in Los Angeles, and he hated it,” Levin stated.
It seems he does not wish to be surrounded by celebrities, and Meghan's insistence on living there is a significant statement.
Harry may have to accept it or make a tough decision.
As a result, the commentator claimed that the Duke of Sussex now feels scared and depressed, as he does not want to leave Montecito in pursuit of the Hollywood lifestyle.
“If he doesn't want it, what will he do?
He's scared.
He's so depressed now.
He could say, ‘Well, I'm not coming,' and stay in Montecito.
She'll move over there because she's near a PR and where all the deals are done,” Levin added.
Discussing the couple's Montecito home, Levin described it as Meghan's dream house.
However, she highlighted Meghan's track record of never being satisfied with anything and constantly searching for something new.
“She wants to be near the sea because she used to go there when she was a little girl.
But once she's got it, she doesn't want it anymore.
She wants something else,” Levin explained.
