Prince George’s Eye-Opening Lesson on the Environment at School

Prince George, the future King of England, recently had a valuable lesson about the environment during his time at school.

Engaging in an activity that involved picking up litter from the school grounds, the young prince couldn't help but feel frustrated and annoyed about the state of our planet.

The purpose of this exercise was to demonstrate the importance of taking care of the environment.

Prince George's father, the Prince of Wales, later revealed that his son actively participated in the litter picking exercise.

This story emerges during a transitional period for the Wales family, as they move to a new residence in Windsor and Prince George and embark on a new school journey.

At Lambrook School, the trio, along with their younger sibling , are treated just like any other children, participating in all lessons.

During a BBC podcast interview, shared insights into his son's experience: “So George at school recently has been doing litter picking, and I didn't realize by talking to him the other day he was already showing that he was getting a bit confused and a bit sort of annoyed by the fact that they went out litter picking one day and then the very next day they did the same route, same time, and pretty much all the same litter.

They picked back up again.

And I think that for him he was trying to understand how and where it all came from.

He couldn't understand it.

He's like, well, we cleaned this, why has it not gone away?”

, who established the Earthshot Prize to find solutions to the global catastrophe, has been highly vocal about the urgent need to combat climate change and address environmental issues.

He previously expressed concern that George and his generation would still be grappling with climate change decades from now.

He emphasized, “But it shouldn't be that there's a third generation now coming along having to ramp it up even more.

And you know, for me, it would be an absolute disaster if George is sat here talking to you or your successor, and you know, in like 30 years time, whatever, still saying the same thing, because by then we will be too late.”

The lesson on the environment that Prince George learned at school holds great significance.

It is crucial for him and his siblings to appreciate and understand the importance of caring for our planet.

Equally important is ensuring that future generations comprehend the relevance of this lesson.

All children, including those in line for the throne, must be prepared for the challenges they will face in the future.

Considering Prince William's own educational path, it is highly likely that both Prince George and will follow in their father's footsteps and attend Eton College at the age of 13 after completing their time at Lambrook.
