Prince George Takes Independent Steps at Christmas Carol Concert
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis delighted royal fans with their adorable appearance alongside their parents at the Princes Together at Christmas Carol concert held at Westminster Abbey.
The Wales family's video footage from the festive event caught the attention of many, particularly Prince William's attentive affection towards his youngest child, which sparked a wave of comments on his gentle parenting on social media.
However, one sweet moment during the event led to a flurry of comments from viewers who felt that Prince George had been left out of the family moment.
As the children posted Christmas cards in a special post box containing messages for those struggling this Christmas, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis quickly returned to their parents.
Charlotte held Kate's hand, while Louis held William's.
Many noticed that George did the same, but as the oldest, he walked by himself.
Some sympathetically wrote, “Poor George, he was looking for a hand that is not extended towards him,” accompanied by a sad face and broken heart emoji.
Others defended George's actions, noting that as the future king, he was simply acting in line with protocol, leading by example, and exerting his independence, following in his father's footsteps.
While many royal fans drew their own conclusions, it is possible that Prince George walking by himself was merely a coincidence.
The young royal is often seen holding hands with both his mother and father, especially when William and Catherine can focus their attention on little Louis.
On his first day at Lambrook School in September 2022, George proudly held his mother's hand as they walked through the school gates.
He was also spotted holding her hand at the Together at Christmas Carol service last December.
At just 10 years old, Prince George already carries significant expectations on his shoulders as the future king.
Fortunately, Princess Catherine is preparing him in the most endearing way possible.
During a recent visit to Windsor's baby bank with his siblings, Catherine was seen giving her eldest child some stellar encouragement.
In heartwarming footage, the young royals held packed gifts, clothes, and toys for less fortunate children as part of the center's Christmas pyjama appeal.
Catherine put a protective arm around George and gently encouraged him, saying, “You can see how rewarding this sort of work is, knowing you are helping others?”
to which he replied, “Yeah.”
She then explained to George what they needed to do with the donated bags, sorting and placing them in boxes.
It was an unforgettable moment.
This isn't the first time Catherine has shown her dedication to her children.
During a visit to Glasgow three years ago, she admitted her struggles with knitting while chatting with a group of women showcasing their crocheting skills.
Catherine confessed, “I've been trying to knit, and I'm really bad.
I should be asking for tips.
I tried knitting when I first had George.
I tried knitting him a very special jumper, but I got halfway down, and it splattered.
It's such an amazing skill.”
Prince George's future looks promising not only due to his lineage but also because of his impressive inheritance.
As the second in line to the throne, his net worth is estimated at a staggering 2.9 billion pounds.
At birth, he inherited 133,000 acres of land across 23 counties in the UK, valued at over 0.83 billion pounds in 2019 according to the Economic Times.
Under British law, the monarch's eldest child inherits the possession of the Duke of Cornwall's real estate portfolio.
Although Prince William is next in line to possess the benefits, eventually, they will be passed on to his eldest son.
Prince George's independent steps at the Christmas Carol concert showcased his growing maturity as he embraces his role as future king.
With the loving support of his parents and the guidance of Princess Catherine, he is well-prepared to face the responsibilities that lie ahead.
