Prince and Princess of Wales Make First Visit to America Since Harry and Meghan’s Move

The Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate, are set to embark on their first visit to America since Harry and Meghan relocated there and made some negative revelations about the monarchy.

The royal couple will be heading to the United States in the first week of December for the Earthshot Prize event in Boston on December 2.

This prestigious occasion will see present the second Earthshot Award, which aims to recognize groundbreaking ideas that tackle the climate crisis.

Meanwhile, on December 6, Meghan and Harry will be honored with the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award for their courageous efforts in combating structural racism.

With both the Wales and the Sussexes in the US at the same time, William and Kate hope to improve the image of the royal family across the pond.

Royal commentators have suggested that the royal family's popularity has not waned in the US following Harry and Meghan's departure.

Kinsey Schofield, speaking to Express.co.uk, revealed that American royal enthusiasts remain captivated by the Prince and Princess of Wales.

However, it is evident that the two royal couples represent vastly different lifestyles and will appeal to different audiences.

Amanda Foreman, writing for the Sunday Times, highlighted that William and Kate embody traditional values such as duty, integrity, discipline, decency, discretion, loyalty, and commitment.

Despite these virtues, they may only resonate with certain generations, namely baby boomers, Generation X, and some millennials.

On the other hand, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex embrace contemporary values, such as self-actualization, self-healing, self-identity, self-care, self-expression, self-confidence, and self-love.

While the Prince and Princess of Wales openly discuss issues like mental health, violence against women and girls, and LGBTQ+ rights, the Sussexes embody what are seen as more progressive values.

Their move away from the traditional confines of the monarchy to their new home in Montecito, California, further emphasizes the stark contrast between the two couples.

Harry and Meghan have expressed how their £11 million mansion brings them joy, peace, and a sense of liberation.

Their choice of words reflects the rhetoric they have adopted, which sets them apart from the rest of the royal family in public life.

While the rest of the royal family continue to fulfill their constitutional roles, which have been modernized to some extent, the Sussexes have embraced their roles as celebrities.

A Palace Insider, speaking to Page Six, noted that William and Kate prioritize working on behalf of others rather than seeking fame.

They have always been popular figures, but now they have reached a new level in their public lives.

They represent a different kind of public figure compared to Harry and Meghan.
