Pete Buttigieg Threatens to Oust Harry and Meghan from Invictus Games

Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg has been appointed to lead the U.S. delegation to 's Invictus Games in the Netherlands, as confirmed by the White House on Wednesday.

President Joe Biden designated Buttigieg as the head of the delegation set to attend the events scheduled from April 16 to 22.

The statement released by the White House stated that Pete Buttigieg, the Secretary of Transportation, will spearhead the delegation to the fifth Invictus Games in The Hague on April 16, 2022.

Joining Buttigieg in the U.S. delegation are Illinois Senator Tammy Duckworth, Deputy Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs Donald M. Remy, and Undersecretary of the Air Force Gina Ortiz-Jones.

Additionally, Buttigieg's husband, Jason Buttigieg, along with their two children, will also accompany the delegation to the Netherlands, according to reports from MSNBC.

This announcement coincides with 's confirmed travel plans to The Hague to support her husband during the initial days of the Invictus Games.

Harry and Meghan, who have been regular attendees at the Invictus Games, faced a delay in the 2020 event due to the global pandemic.

Buttigieg's upcoming meeting with the royal couple follows a notable speech he delivered in 2020 in Iowa, in response to Harry and Meghan's decision to step back from their royal duties and relocate to the United States.

Reflecting on the historical significance of family involvement in governance, Buttigieg emphasized the importance of community engagement in shaping the nation's future.
