Netflix Internal Lawyer Leaks Shareholders Discussing Lawsuit Against Megan and Harry

In a surprising turn of events, an internal lawyer from Netflix has leaked information about shareholders considering legal action against Megan and Harry.

The lawyer, who wishes to remain anonymous, revealed this news while on a flight to Tel Aviv.

Although she did not provide many details, she expressed her lack of support for the couple and claimed that they have earned more money from Netflix than what has been publicly disclosed.

According to the lawyer, the deal signed by Megan and Harry with Netflix was similar to their agreement with Spotify.

However, unlike Spotify, Netflix paid them upfront for their services.

Now that the multi-year deal has been annulled, Netflix is demanding a refund of two-thirds of the payment.

Failure to comply may result in a lawsuit against the couple.

Moreover, the source also revealed that every shareholder is criticizing Netflix for not fulfilling its fiduciary duty.

Initially, it was believed that the reported $150 million deal with Netflix would be paid in installments.

However, Netflix violated its own rules by paying Megan and Harry well over $100 million upfront, despite their lack of executive producing experience.

Megan, who is committed to creating various projects with Netflix, has not commented on the situation yet.

Typically, these contracts involve payments tied to the completion of specific output metrics.

Netflix had contracted Megan and Harry for numerous projects, including documentaries, family-friendly shows, and scripted content.

However, they have only delivered one project so far, raising concerns about their ability to fulfill their obligations.

While it seems unlikely that Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, Ted Sarandos, would act irresponsibly, the platform may still take legal action against Megan and Harry for failing to perform.

Attempting to recover some of the upfront payment is one option, but facing a class-action lawsuit from shareholders for financial negligence would be a more significant deterrent.

The fact that a Netflix lawyer has expressed dislike for Megan and Harry adds credibility to the claims.

The main issue lies in the substantial payment made for multiple projects, despite the couple’s limited output.

Additionally, reports suggest that Netflix is unlikely to renew their multi-million dollar contract, as they believe the couple has exhausted their value.

Some executives at Netflix feel that Megan is detached from economic realities and lives in her own bubble.

Adding to the uncertainty, GB News presenter Dan Wooten recently claimed that Netflix is reconsidering their deal with the Sussexes.

Citing an unnamed top Hollywood source, Wooten stated that Netflix wants to follow Spotify’s lead and sever ties with the couple.

He confidently asserted that his information will be proven correct within a few weeks or months.

This news comes shortly after the collapse of the £18 million podcast deal between Spotify and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

The couple announced a mutual agreement to terminate the contract after just one season of their show.

The exclusive deal with Spotify was considered a major milestone in podcasting history, securing Megan’s audio series archetypes.

As the situation unfolds, it remains uncertain how Netflix will proceed with Megan and Harry.

The possibility of legal action, combined with doubts about their productivity, has put their future partnership with Netflix in jeopardy.

Only time will tell whether the streaming giant will cut ties with the couple, following in the footsteps of Spotify.
