Meghan Markle’s Thoughtful Gesture During Infant Formula Shortage
During a recent speech at the Baby 2 Baby Gala, Tyler Perry revealed that Meghan Markle had purchased infant formula for a family in need amidst a nationwide scarcity.
The 53-year-old actor shared how the Duchess of Sussex tried to assist during the shortage, emphasizing her kind-heartedness.
According to Vanity Fair, Perry informed the gala attendees, consisting of around 800 people, that one of his staff members reached out to him for help as they were unable to find infant formula anywhere in the country.
Determined to lend a hand, Perry personally took on the task of finding the formula.
Unfortunately, his efforts proved unsuccessful.
Undeterred, Perry contacted Meghan and Prince Harry, who were in London at the time.
In a heartwarming act of generosity, Meghan decided to purchase the much-needed infant formula for Perry's employee's family while she was shopping in the UK.
Over the years, Meghan and Perry have developed a close friendship.
When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to the US from Canada in March 2020, Perry extended an invitation for them to stay in his California home.
This gesture came at a crucial time for Meghan and Harry, as they had just discovered their security would be removed during the COVID-19 lockdown in March 2021, as revealed in their interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Expressing her gratitude, Meghan spoke about Perry's support during those initial months in California.
She stated, “We didn't have a plan, we needed a place, and he offered security as well, so it allowed us breathing room to try to figure out what we were going to do.”
In a September interview with Today, Perry also discussed inviting Meghan and Harry to stay at his residence.
He emphasized their strong bond, stating, “I wish the public knew how much they love each other.
These two are in a committed relationship.
They were able to meet.
Despite all the odds against it, they managed to discover each other.”
Meghan recently shared details about how she and Perry first connected.
In an interview with The Cut, she revealed that Perry approached her after her wedding to Harry.
Although they had never met in person, he expressed concern for her due to the symbolic weight of their wedding and promised to help.
It wasn't until 2020 that Meghan reached out to Perry and shared her life story with him, remarking on the unique ability to confide in a stranger.
In other news, there are discussions about the future of royal estates, such as Balmoral and Windsor Castle.
King Charles III reportedly intends to make some of these properties accessible to the public, aiming to create a more open and sustainable monarchy.
Experts suggest that Windsor Castle could potentially be transformed into a museum to generate revenue.
Russell Myers, the royal editor of the Daily Mirror, shared his insights on True Royalty's The Royal Beat program, stating that Charles is passionate about opening more palaces, especially those that are currently underutilized.
He mentioned that Windsor Castle is likely to be one of them, with plans to increase public access.
Additionally, Charles intends to turn the beloved Balmoral estate, cherished by the late Queen Elizabeth II, into a museum to ensure its financial viability for the royal family and the nation.
While Windsor Castle already welcomes visitors to certain areas throughout the year, Charles hopes to make both Windsor Castle and Balmoral more accessible to the general public, allowing them to experience the rich history and grandeur of these royal estates.
As discussions continue regarding the future of these iconic properties, the public's opinion on their fate remains divided.
