Meghan Markle’s Hilarious Camera Story Leaves Viewers Skeptical
Meghan Markle recently shared a funny anecdote about her son, Prince Archie, during a post-screening film Q&A.
The Duchess appeared on stage alongside filmmaker Misan Hariman and actor David Oyelowo after a screening of their short film, The After.
While discussing her children, Meghan gave a rare insight into Archie's life, revealing his newfound love for photography.
According to Meghan, Archie had been inspired by Hariman and had developed a keen interest in photography.
“Inspiration runs deep,” she explained.
“At four and a half years old, he'd say, ‘I'm not four, I'm four and a half.'
Misan was showing him how to do photography the last time he was with us.”
In an effort to encourage his passion, Meghan even bought Archie a camera.
However, it seems that Archie had different expectations for his new camera.
He expressed disappointment that the one he received was not as expensive as the Leica camera he had learned with.
Meghan amusingly recounted his reaction, saying, “He said, ‘But it's not a Leica like Misan's.'
I was like, ‘You are not getting a Leica, not even for Christmas.'
So, thank you for the inspiration across the board.”
Leica is a renowned German camera brand known for its high-end models, which can cost up to £8,000.
Some viewers found it hard to believe that a four-year-old would be aware of such a specific brand.
“Why would a four-year-old child know about Leica cameras?
Four-year-olds don't care about brands,” one skeptic commented.
Others pointed out that Meghan's story seemed implausible, suggesting that she was trying to flatter Hariman.
Critics also questioned Meghan's credibility, claiming that her story lacked coherence and understanding of how children interact.
They speculated that she may have constantly referred to her camera by its brand name, leading Archie to associate Leica with cameras in general.
Regardless of the truth behind the story, some argued that it portrayed Meghan as an ungrateful parent, raising a child who complains about brands instead of appreciating gifts.
This isn't the first time Meghan's storytelling has raised eyebrows.
Similar doubts emerged when Prince Harry mentioned Archie's request for a waffle maker during an interview with James Corden.
Critics questioned whether a child under 18 months old could have made such a request.
The skepticism surrounding Meghan's camera story only adds to the existing doubts about her narratives regarding her children.
As Meghan continues to fuel rumors and face scrutiny, the public remains skeptical about the authenticity of her stories.
Whether it's the brand-conscious four-year-old or the seemingly ungrateful child, none of her tales about her children seem to make sense.
It's no wonder people question their existence.
