Meghan Markle’s Children Left Out of Late Queen’s Birthday Picture
In a recent picture released to commemorate what would have been the late Queen's 97th birthday, Meghan Markle's children were noticeably absent.
The photo, taken by the Princess of Wales during a family trip to Balmoral last summer, features the rest of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren but excludes Archie and Lilibet.
It is worth mentioning that the couple chose not to accompany the family on their trip to the Scottish Highlands.
The group picture includes Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, along with Mia, Lucas, and Lena Tyndall, and Savannah and Isla Phillips.
Standing at the back are Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor and James Earl of Wessex, the children of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh.
Following the widespread acclaim received by Kate's photo, there are speculations that Harry and Meghan might release their own personal pictures with the late Queen.
Reports suggest that Archie had the opportunity to meet his late great-grandmother, while Lilibet had her first encounter with her during their visit to the UK in June for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
However, no official photos were taken on that occasion.
A source has revealed that Meghan has enlisted the help of her close friend and photographer, Misan Harriman, to create a photoshopped image featuring the late Queen, Archie, and Lilibet.
This move seems to be a response to Kate, as the Duchess of Cambridge had previously garnered praise for her own photo.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time Meghan and Harry have taken matters into their own hands when it comes to photography.
They previously brought their private photographer into Buckingham Palace without seeking the Queen's permission.
This incident came to light after a behind-the-scenes image was shown in a trailer for the couple's upcoming documentary.
The image displayed a series of black and white photographs taken at Frogmore Cottage during their wedding reception in 2018 and while on holiday.
In his controversial memoir, “Spare,” Prince Harry wrote about the moment his children met the Queen.
He mentioned how Archie attempted to bow while Lilibet Diana cuddled the Queen's shins.
The Queen, sounding bemused, remarked that she had expected them to be more “American.”
The potential release of the photos featuring Archie, Lilibet, and the late Queen comes at a time of anticipation for the crowning of the UK's next monarch, King Charles III, on May 6th.
While Prince Harry has confirmed his attendance at the ceremony in Westminster Abbey, Meghan has chosen to stay behind and look after the children on Prince Archie Harrison's birthday weekend.
Over the weekend, the Duchess of Sussex made a surprise virtual appearance at Misan Harriman's TED Talk.
Prior to Harriman taking the stage, Meghan introduced him and shared some kind words about her friend.
Harriman, known for capturing the Markle-Harry family's photos, expressed gratitude to Meghan on his Instagram, acknowledging her support during the event.
