The 91st Hollywood Christmas Parade is set to kick off on Sunday at 6pm, but it seems that one particular celebrity has been banned from participating.
According to Deadline, Meghan Markle was not given permission to join the parade, much to the disappointment of her fans.
The event, co-organized by actors Eric Esther and Dean Cain, along with Montel Williams, Laura McKenzie, and Elizabeth Stanton, is expected to draw thousands of spectators along its 3.2-mile route.
The Hollywood Christmas Parade is known for its star-studded lineup, featuring more than 90 celebrities and VIPs.
With 14 front performers and parades, 10 bands, a 64-story character hot air balloon, 3 floats, 39 movie cars, and 8 novelty vehicles, it promises to be a spectacular event.
The highlight of the parade will be Santa Claus himself, spreading joy and cheer throughout the city.
Around 5,000 people are expected to participate in support of the Marine Toys for Tots program.
An anonymous source revealed that Meghan Markle was banned from the parade because her presence would be overshadowed and people wouldn't care about her.
However, rumors suggest that Meghan had plans to feature billboards along the parade route, displaying feminist and humanitarian slogans.
She also wanted to ride in the car next to Prince Harry, playing the role of Santa Claus.
Unfortunately for Meghan, her requests were ignored by the parade organizers.
The Hollywood Christmas Parade is an annual production by Associated Television International, co-broadcasted on the Hallmark Channel and syndicated in later years.
Despite not being able to participate in the parade, Meghan expressed her desire to appear on TV during the event.
The parade will start on Orange Street at Hollywood Boulevard, then proceed east on Hollywood Avenue to Vine Street, south on Vine Street to Sunset Boulevard, and finally west on Sunset, returning to Orange.
Among the celebrities and officials participating in the parade are Mayor Karen Bass, dancer Paula Abdul, singer Dwight Yoakam, radio host pop duo Cree Kasem, Ailey and AJ, and many more.
Actors Chris Cadden, Craig Robinson, Ernie Hudson, Brandon Roth, Denise Richards, and Tati Ali will also be in attendance.
