Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Surprise UK Visit Faces Uncertain Priority, Royal Expert Claims

and 's upcoming visit to the UK is expected to take a backseat in terms of priority, as per a royal commentator who highlighted the couple's potential awkward situation with the Queen.

On Monday, it was revealed that and would be making a surprise visit to the UK in September.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan to visit Manchester and London to engage with charities that hold significant meaning for them.

A spokesperson for the couple expressed their delight in returning to Prince Harry's home country.

This visit will mark their first since attending the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June, where they joined other members of the royal family in commemorating II's impressive 70-year reign.

The anticipation surrounding their return was heightened by the fact that Meghan had not been seen publicly with other royals since their dramatic departure from the firm two years ago.

Although it remains uncertain whether the Sussexes intend to meet with members of the royal family during their visit, one commentator has already suggested that their presence may not take precedence over a busy royal schedule.

Daniela Elser, the royal writer for Australian website News.com.au, pointed out that the Queen, in particular, might have limited availability for a reunion with the couple.

When Meghan and Harry arrive in Manchester on September 5 for the opening ceremony of the One Young World Summit, the Conservative Party will be conducting their leadership vote to select the next prime minister of the country.

The following day, Boris Johnson will formally step down and relinquish the keys to 10 Downing Street.

Elser emphasized that the palace has already confirmed the sovereign's decision to interrupt her summer holiday in Balmoral and return to London for the leadership transition.

As is customary, she will meet not only with the incoming prime minister but also with outgoing Johnson.

Regarding the couple's visit, Mr. Myers described it as a very businesslike endeavor.

He added that Meghan and Harry aim to keep the focus solely on the charities they support, which may explain why they won't be reuniting with the Fab Four—William, Kate, and their families.

The intention seems to be avoiding any unnecessary fanfare.

Reflecting on the couple's involvement in the Platinum Jubilee, Mr. Myers noted the concerns raised about whether their presence would overshadow the Queen's grand celebration.

Hence, it is possible that Meghan and Harry will maintain a low profile during their time in the UK, as they tend to do when they are in the States.

In addition to their UK visit, Mr. Myers revealed that the couple will also be heading to Dusseldorf, Germany, shortly after their arrival.

Subsequently, they will return to London for the Well Child Awards on September 8.

This planned visit will be their first time back in the UK since the Platinum Jubilee.
