Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Low-Key Night Out at Lucky’s
The small town of Santa Barbara is renowned for its famous residents, including Oprah Winfrey and Ariana Grande.
Recently, Lucky's, a local restaurant, became the center of attention when a rider revealed that he had been there on the same night as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
Surprisingly, the Royals seemed just like any other regular patrons.
Last October, McPhee, Markle, and Prince Harry were spotted at Lucky's on a double date with Katherine McPhee and David Foster.
McPhee and Markle have been friends since childhood, while Prince Harry and Foster share a close bond, akin to that of a father and son.
In a May 2020 interview with Naxx's Hollywood, McPhee mentioned how Michael and Harry held hands as they made their way to the restaurant.
Another waiter, who preferred to remain anonymous, added that the quartet frequented the restaurant quite often.
However, they were explicitly instructed not to discuss or talk about them.
Photos were also prohibited to ensure the Royals' privacy and avoid any disturbances during their visits.
Despite their regular appearances, the waiter noted that the group hadn't been seen together in the past two years.
On multiple occasions, Meghan and Harry arrived at Lucky's, booked a table for four to six people, and patiently waited for their friends to join them.
After a couple of hours, they would order some salad and pie before leaving the restaurant.
It comes as no surprise that the Royals chose Lucky's for their dinner, as it is the most renowned eatery in Montecito and attracts numerous celebrities.
Even Iron Chef star Kat Tora has praised Lucky's New York strip steak as one of the best dishes she's ever had.
During my conversation with the waiter, he revealed that Lucky's frequently hosted celebrities, most of whom were friendly and pleasant.
However, he mentioned that some individuals could become rude after a few drinks.
It remains unclear why Catherine McPhee and David Foster have distanced themselves from Meghan and Harry in recent years.
Speculation suggests that they may prefer more private settings for their gatherings.
On the other hand, rumors circulate that Meghan's restaurant habits can be demanding, occasionally creating awkward situations for the staff, which might explain why some people declined socializing with them.
In addition to Lucky's, the couple also enjoyed a date night at the town's only Michelin-starred sushi bar.
This intimate establishment accommodates only ten people at a time and offers a tantalizing 109-pound Corso Macca tasting menu, featuring dishes such as Tura curry, bluefin tuna, Alba Caruna, and scallops.
Accompanied by ten bodyguards, Meghan and Harry initially occupied all the available tables, leading them to request extra seating from the restaurant manager.
Interestingly, Harry, who does not consume fish, was granted special permission to bring his own 23-pound steak from a nearby restaurant called Lucky.
