Meghan Markle Accused of Stealing £241,000 Jewel from Royal Collection
In a shocking revelation, it has been reported that Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, allegedly stole a valuable jewel worth £241,000 from the Royal collection before fleeing to the United States.
The accusation comes from Queen's dresser, Jackie Meakin, who claims that the Duchess wore Cartier jewellery worth over £230,000 at a reception but has not been seen wearing it since.
During a lavish royal reception, Meghan Markle adorned herself with a pair of sparkling earrings from Cartier, along with a matching bracelet.
The combined value of these pieces amounted to almost a quarter of a million pounds.
The earrings featured 19 brilliant cut diamonds totaling 0.81 carats, as well as 10 baguette cut diamonds totaling 1.8 carats, all set in 18k white gold.
The bracelet, on the other hand, boasted 92 brilliant cut diamonds totaling 3.96 carats and 46 baguette cut diamonds totaling 4.96 carats, set in 18k gold.
The Reflection Ducatia Bracelet, which Meghan wore on her wedding day in St George's Chapel, is particularly significant.
Available in different versions, the closest approximation of the bracelet costs a staggering £241,000.
This incident took place in 2018.
Additionally, Meghan donned the Reflection Ducatia Earrings on the same day for a reception, which were valued at £60,000, nearly five times the median UK salary.
In total, the jewellery worn by Meghan at the reception alone was worth more than seven times the median UK annual salary.
However, since that grand event, the Duchess of Sussex has not been spotted wearing these immensely expensive gems.
In a recent interview with Jackie Meakin, the Queen's dresser, it was revealed that the jewellery belonged to the Royal Family collection and was lent to Meghan for important occasions.
Meakin, who has been responsible for inventorying and storing expensive jewellery for the Royal Family for years, confirmed that all other items were promptly returned and carefully catalogued for future royal engagements.
The only pieces that vanished without a trace were the Reflection Ducatia Bracelet and Earrings, which Meghan took with her when she left the Royal Family.
Speculation suggests that Meghan may have sold the stolen jewellery to fulfill her other financial needs.
There are even rumors circulating that she sold some of her high-end clothing and billed then-Prince Charles for it.
It is believed that Meghan's exorbitant wardrobe expenses were one of the reasons why the Royal Family was content with their departure.
Astonishingly, since joining the Royal Family, Meghan Markle has accumulated an astounding £977,309 worth of clothing in just 22 months.
Her designer outfits from renowned brands like Dior, Givenchy, Prada, and Chanel, coupled with expensive accessories, have become her signature style.
It is worth noting that Prince Charles has been covering the cost of Meghan's work engagement attire through the budget provided by the Duchy of Cornwall since her marriage to Prince Harry.
This further adds to the controversy surrounding Meghan's extravagant spending habits.
As the investigation into the missing jewel continues, questions remain about the true nature of Meghan Markle's actions and the implications they may have for her relationship with the Royal Family.
