Meghan Markle Accused of Manipulating Harry and Controlling Their Image
An Australian politician has made shocking claims about Meghan Markle, accusing her of being manipulative and controlling in how she and Prince Harry want to be perceived by the public.
Tina McQueen, Vice President of the Federal Division of the Liberal Party of Australia, made these remarks during a program hosted by Corrie Bernardi on Friday.
McQueen described Meghan as someone who has led Harry down a dark path and compared her to Wallis Simpson, the American socialite and wife of the Duke of Windsor.
According to McQueen, Meghan knows how to work the system and wants to control the public's perception of her and Harry.
She expressed her disappointment in the royal family and hopes that they will cut ties with the couple and prevent them from profiting off their titles.
This comes amidst Meghan's ongoing legal battle with Associated Newspapers Ltd in the UK.
Recently, the Duchess of Sussex apologized to a UK court for her and Prince Harry's involvement in their biography, “Finding Freedom.”
After initially denying any influence, Meghan admitted to providing background reminders to their former communications secretary, Jason Kanauf, to pass on to the book's authors, Ahmed Scobie and Caroline Durand.
Meghan claimed that she had forgotten about the email exchanges, which proved their connection to the creation of “Finding Freedom.”
Since stepping down from their royal duties, Harry and Meghan have been focused on their Archule foundation and have taken on roles as humanitarian activists.
Harry has made two visits to the UK, one for Prince Philip's funeral in April and another for the unveiling of Princess Diana's statue in July.
There is speculation that they may return for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee next year, as their brand heavily relies on their connection with the British royal family.
British broadcaster Vanessa Feltz criticized Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for initially denying their involvement in the biography, “Finding Freedom.”
The book provided an account of their lives, including their marriage and split from the royal family.
Vanessa expressed her disappointment, stating that their denial seemed manipulative and not in line with the Harry they knew and loved.
She questioned whether their initial denial was a deliberate attempt to cover their tracks or just a simple oversight.
The court's finding contradicted their denial, confirming that the couple had authorized specific cooperation in writing back in December 2018.
While Meghan has since apologized for her forgetfulness, Vanessa was not pleased with the situation.
She emphasized that once something is written and published, it cannot be taken back, and retracting a statement would likely result in a lawsuit.
Such revelations will further damage Harry and Meghan's public image, as they have already been accused of causing rifts within the royal family.
Ever since their controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey, where they were accused of breaking up the royal family, Harry and Meghan have faced scrutiny and questions about their honesty.
Any additional accusations of dishonesty, whether intentional or accidental, will only deepen public skepticism towards their statements.
