Meghan and Harry’s Failed Attempt to Overshadow King Charles’ Coronation
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's latest stunt in Montecito failed to steal the spotlight from King Charles III's Scottish coronation.
Despite being snubbed by the royal family during the event, the Sussexes enjoyed a family outing with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to celebrate the 4th of July in California.
However, their attempt to divert attention away from the king's big day was unsuccessful.
Photos of Harry and Meghan enjoying precious family moments at a parade on Tuesday surfaced on social media the following day, coinciding with King Charles' crowning ceremony at St. Charles' Cathedral in Edinburgh.
Although the couple seemingly aimed to overshadow the king's glory, they failed to capture the media's attention at the significant event.
A clip shared by the local hotel, Rosewood Myanmar Beach, days later showcased Meghan, alongside her husband and daughter, waving to passers-by during the 4th of July celebration.
The luxury five-star hotel, owned by businessman Rick Caruso, had previously met the couple in May 2020 to discuss charity work and future plans.
Reports suggest that Meghan and Harry have since dined at the exclusive establishment, while Meghan's ex-husband, Trevor, tied the knot there last year.
It appears that Meghan has a pattern of appropriating things, believing that by doing so, she takes their power or significance.
Examples include Princess Catherine's roast chicken, Prince George's security name, Princess Charlotte's baby clothes, and even Trevor's wedding venue.
It seems that no one is allowed to have their own unique possessions or experiences, as Meghan will publicly announce that they now belong to her.
This behavior is most evident in her appropriation of Her Majesty's nickname.
Additionally, Meghan continues to wear the Cartier bracelet gifted to her by Trevor, and she frequently engages in public disputes with people she claims to want nothing to do with.
The video shared by the Rosewood Miramar hotel, which boasts 93,000 followers on Instagram, showcased a car driving along the parade route while its occupants waved to spectators.
The footage then transitioned to highlight the BBQ offerings and the beachfront bar at the hotel, as well as a large sign adorned with balloons that read “USA.”
Although the video lasted less than a minute, it was accompanied by the caption, “a little Miramar magic for the 4th of July.”
However, it is worth noting that the Rosewood Miramar hotel was not part of the parade route.
The Harkles were filmed from a pink vehicle at the intersection of San Ysidro Road and Sinaloa Drive, where paparazzi shots were also taken.
The parade actually began at Manning Park, heading south on Ysidro Road.
Back in 2020, Vanity Fair reported that Meghan and Harry had developed a close relationship with the hotel owner.
During a meeting, Caruso expressed his admiration for the couple, stating, “We just shared a lot of things that we'd like to do to make people's lives better.
We're very lucky to have them.”
While Meghan and Lilibet happily waved to the parade, Prince Harry engaged in conversations with others in their group.
Previously, Harry had introduced his youngest child to the American holiday, which is celebrated with countless US flags, cheering crowds, and festive gatherings nationwide.
In their latest attempt to remain in the public eye, Meghan and Harry's endeavor to overshadow King Charles' coronation ultimately fell short.
Despite their efforts, the attention remained firmly fixed on the momentous occasion, leaving the Sussexes in the background.
