Megan’s Return to Instagram: A Royal Risk

Clues are mounting daily about Megan Markle's next move, but there's one big downfall with her big plan.

In the final weeks of 2017, Z-list actress Megan Markle was set to marry into the royal family, bidding farewell to her oversaturated personal Instagram account.

With the promise of money, fame, and clout, she believed she would never have to climb the social media ladder again.

However, irony has a way of showing up uninvited.

Now, five years later, reports suggest that Megan Markle is on the verge of making her return to Instagram.

While many find this news exciting, I remain unconvinced.

There are certainly clues pointing in that direction.

Last year, she confided in journalist Alison P. Davis, hinting at her return to Instagram.

However, she later changed her mind and decided to postpone her plans.

Currently, there is an Instagram account named after Megan, gaining tens of thousands of followers per day.

Despite Megan Markle never confirming its authenticity or posting anything on it, the account has gained over 140,000 followers this month alone.

In April, Megan signed with talent agency WME, focusing on expanding her business ventures and brand partnerships.

Recent reports suggest that she has been in talks with various brands, particularly Lux Jewelers Cartier, for a potential collaboration tied to her Instagram reboot.

The Daily Mail even speculates that Megan could earn up to $1 million per paid post on Instagram.

It's evident that Megan has an affinity for money, making her return to social media seem inevitable.

However, before diving headfirst into this venture, Megan needs to consider the risks involved.

Opening the Pandora's box of social media may not be as easy to close as she thinks.

Megan and Harry's most valuable asset is their royal status, which sets them apart from the celebrity ecosystem.

Their global fame stems from their connection to an ancient institution built on hereditary privilege.

By rejoining Instagram, they risk losing the unique allure that separates them from the average A-lister.

If Megan were to embrace sponsored content, she would be perceived as just another celebrity chasing money.

The public's perception of her could shift dramatically, likening her to reality TV stars who endorse various products solely for financial gain.

Harry's own cousin, Peter Phillips, faced backlash for a cringeworthy ad he did for a Chinese milk company, exploiting his royal connections.

Megan and Harry must carefully weigh the consequences before following a similar path.

Moreover, maintaining an active Instagram account requires consistent content.

Sharing mundane aspects of their lives, such as daily matcha lattes or random sunsets, would invite the world into their previously guarded Montecito bubble.

While Harry and Megan never explicitly demanded privacy, leaving their royal duties indicated a desire for more control over their narrative.

Creating a new social media account may grant them that control, but it also means opening their lives to public scrutiny.

Furthermore, Megan must consider the rise of TikTok, which surpasses Instagram in terms of users and engagement.

Is returning to Instagram truly the wisest choice?

In 2019, when Harry and Megan launched their charity and Instagram presence, Sussex Royal, they gained one million followers within six hours.

It is safe to assume that Megan's new Instagram account will surpass that record.

As I create this video, the account gains an additional 2,000 followers.

So, regardless of the short-term outcome, Megan's account is likely to experience some degree of success.

The question remains: what do you think about this conspiracy?
