Megan and Harry’s Humiliation on Satirical Talk Show: The Grifters

Megan Markle and were the subjects of public ridicule on a recent episode of Greg Gutfield's satire talk show.

Known as The Greg Gutfield Show, this American news and political satire program, which aired on Fox News from 2015 to 2021, took aim at the couple, labeling them “The Grifters.”

The segment began with a reference to an article in The Hollywood Reporter that named the Harkles as one of Hollywood's biggest losers in 2023.

One of the show's frequent guests, George Murdoch, also known as Tyrus, didn't hold back in his criticism.

He referred to Megan and Harry as D-list royals, asserting that no one truly cares about them.

Tyrus even went as far as to say that it is nearly impossible to be such big losers even on Netflix, suggesting that a video of waves crashing on the beach could garner more views than their content.

As an outspoken critic of the couple, Tyrus, a wrestler who is biracial, seems uninterested in their complaints and grievances.

Another guest, a TV chef named Andrew, shared his own experience with Megan.

He mentioned that she appeared on his show featuring junior chefs and was pleasant to work with.

However, Andrew claimed that once Megan met Harry, she abruptly stopped communicating with him and his wife, leaving them puzzled and ignored.

Shannon, another guest on the show, humorously remarked that she enjoys watching Hallmark movies, where the plot often revolves around a girl finding her prince charming.

However, she pointed out that there is never a storyline where the girl marries the prince and then pleads with him to give up everything.

This comment added to the overall mocking tone directed at Megan and Harry during the five-minute segment.

The hosts even made jokes about Harry allowing Megan to emasculate him.

The show also highlighted a significant issue surrounding the couple: their lack of discretion.

Megan and Harry have built a brand around breaching private confidences and sharing personal stories, which has made many in Hollywood wary of associating with them.

This lack of trust and discretion is a serious concern in an industry where privacy is highly valued.

It is no wonder that their reputation has suffered in 2023.

Interestingly, just a year ago, the couple was still being treated with great care and respect.

However, it seems that South Park's parody of them marked a turning point, leading to a flood of criticism.

Their fall from grace has been swift and remarkable.

Adding insult to injury, reports indicate that their £88 million Netflix series is less popular than a children's cartoon, Peppa Pig.

In the first half of 2023, their documentary on their royal exit garnered a total of 62 million hours of viewership on Netflix, while Peppa Pig's first two seasons alone amassed over 140 million hours.

To provide some context, 60 million hours of viewing is roughly equivalent to one million people watching a one-hour episode once.

These figures were released by Netflix after facing criticism for their lack of transparency regarding content performance.
